i just exited slex. very very heavy trafficd!
a segment of slex near the bicutan exit is flooded, both ways, north and south.
hindi naman mataas. just enough to entice us to avoid the leftmost lane and drive more slowly.
traffic was zero, once past the flood.

northbound slex traffic was already at the alabang viaduct, and southbound slex traffic was at least at the edsa area.
mag-skyway no po kayo!

my question,
"bakit nag-baha?"
i was down south all day, where it was rainless.
umulan ba nang malakas sa bicutan area?
or, sira yung pumps?

I saw a lot of posts on my FB, sobrang traffic daw going South. Carmageddon at Slex, C5 and Skyway. I wonder why.

i got lucky.
naka-ahon ako in a relatively short time. it took me less than an hour, starting from the alabang flyover.
pity those who are still there. the line will only get longer.

It rained hard sa South but for less than an hour siguro. Even Skyway is traffic. It took my friend 4.5 hrs from Manila to Las Pinas [emoji15] He left Manila at 4:30 pm, arrived home at 9 pm

So my daughter just made it in time, she left Ayala 4pm, made it to Alabang 4:47.

the ncr floods caused me a 1.5 hour drive home, from the regular 0.5 hr.
i was one of the lucky ones.

radio guys report that both northbound and southbound ground level slex are very very long traffic.
apparently, the segment at the bicutan exit is flooded again.
the commuters have taken to walking.
take skyway, both ways.

parang hindi naman yata ganito dati, na nagbabaha diyan during rains.
so what happened to the flood mitigation program for this segment?
how much ruckus do the citizens have to raise, to force authorities to do something?

These are the few times I am glad I don't have work or if I did, I'll request for WFH kahit araw ko to report at site.

Swerte pa pala ako kagabi na hindi ako masyado na traffic, normal EDSA traffic lang, pero friend ko 3 HOURS from BGC to Las Pinas. What a nightmare. I have no business complaining sa 40 mins ko [emoji15]

Absolutely ridiculous traffic last night. We were going to a cousin's wake at Sucat, and it took us 2.5 hours from Makati to Sucat. Sana di na umulan ng malakas mamaya, it's bad enough when it doesn't rain.

Hanggang weekend pa daw magiging maulan. Mukhang this will be the norm.

Wala naman tayong maasahan sa gobyerno na solusyon. Reclaim pa sila ng reclaim sa Manila bay.
