Sounds like anti poor. So ganun din. Makapagpalit palit pa sila

San ba yung may tax increase sa car registration along with road worthiness tests? Europe/uk ba?
Sa singapore, maliban sa certificate to own/purchase a car, parang may taning din dun na 10 years max age ng car ata then forced to change ka dahil sa mahal ng registration nila if you decide to keep it (if im not mistaken).
in japan,
the shaken law.
in essence, the shaken law makes it very expensive to maintain a car that's several years old.
owners would rather buy a new car, than renew their privilege to use their 3-4-5 year old car.
guess where these 4-5 year old cars end up being exported to... after modifying to LHD, of course.
So hindi talaga anti poor yanMasyado naman kasing sariwa ang 4 to 5 yrs old. Alam ko ginawa atang 10 yrs?

in japan,
there's no age limit vis a vis cars.
it just gets to be very expensive to legally operate an older car.
owners would rather buy a new car.
which helps support japan's car industry.
as my japanese acquaintance says,
"japan-the-government is rich. the citizen isn't."

I think when it comes to those countries, wala naman may hare brained scheme na coding tulad sa atin. So there really was no need for more cars for 1 family na 'pang coding'.
Add to the fact limited and mahal ang puclic parking, kahit on street pa yan sa mga side streets.
Meron din na nagimplement na rush hour toll if you choose to bring you car into highly dense commercial area, right? SG does it, and taiwan din ata. Cant recall which european city does the same.
hindi gagana yang suggestion nyo.
tapunan nga ng ukay-ukay pinas. Tapos aasa kayo tataasan fine lumang kotse.
mobile nga ng pulis karag-karag na. Jeepney nga unliyears na tagal.
dadami lang excemption sa ganyan bolahan.
best eh limit car manufacturer. Konti ang usapan mas madali.
ang hilig ng peeenoise sa diskarteng pahirapan.
pero ang importante dok nahalt yung yearly benta 500,000 cars a year. Hindi pa kasali sa figures yung motorcycle.
Mas madali lumawag pag walang nadadagdag.
just like population control.
Yes doc. I agree and also do the same when traveling.
Thats why we need 2 prong approach, reduction in private car volume and rationalization of public transpo to rail/ferry, bus, minibus/modern jeep for smaller roads. No more 'others' to simplify.
I dont believe in the argument na papaano senior kung walang stop where you want kasi other countries may senior naman pero wala sila ganung concern kasi discplined naman sila.
Ang need naman na approach dun is improvement of accessibility sa sidewalks so it starts woth the clearing, then improving accessibility ramps of wheelchairs and propoer points to cross (no jaywalking)
and lagyan ng DEDICATED ELEVATED BIKE LANE.
Believe me, biglang dadami bike to work. Takot lang kasi magbike kasi baka mahagip kotse/motor so risky pa.
Yes, cars in japan older than 10 years had to pass an extra test every 2 years.
Cars older than 13 years pay additional 10% annual tax which is like USD 25.00 every two years.
So this Shaken law is not really a dealbreaker to why japs dispose cars very fast.
More like most japs don't know much about cars or be bothered to maintain them well
That's the main reason they just buy new when something breaks down.
Parang mga rich people here lang.
Buy new when the car is sirain na.
Grabe. Ano ba meron kanina?
San Juan to QC (T Morato & Q Ave) areas, halos 10kph ave speed lang...![]()
