How about we tsikoteers help each other by compiling a list of kotong hot spots so that we can at least TRY to avoid to fall victims to this racketeers (try lang as magaling gumawa ng imaginary dahilan ang mga nagongotong). Please indicate the place/street, who's stationed there, their mode of racket and other info that might help.

Let me start off the list with the ff:
    1. NAIA road from NAIA 1 to Centennial airport, MMDA personnel loves to victimize vehicles turning right from the 2nd lane from the right as they say these vehicles are "swerving" though they do not flag down taxis and jeeps swerving at the last minute going to Baclaran thus blocking the right turn lane

    2. NAIA road northbound turning right to Domestic road, MMDA with the occassional assistance from Pasay traffic personnel love to prey on vehicles "swerving" to the right to make a right turn (to avoid this, you should always be within the 2 righmost lanes to make a right turn as far away as you can) and same as above, public transports who swerve to the left are "excused"

    3. EDSA extension-Diosmacapagal intersection, Pasay traffic enforcers are mulching on vehicles turning right on red signal eventhough the road is so wide that cars turning right will not hamper other vehicles

include na ren ung macapagal cor seaside boulevard area. pagbaba mo ng bridge area, if you're not on the very rightmost part of the road, then you turn right, bubulaga ung mga panget na pasay kotong peeps from the shades of the tree. Swerving raw at kahit anong argument mo na two lanes dapat i-cross to be considered swerving, wala sila care. abutan mo pera, may saludo ka pa. bad trip.

another area is the Gil puyat cor Paseo area. yung traffic light dun sobra bilis magchange from yellow to Red. if medio traffic at nabitin ka sa pag left to Paseo, paparahin ka ng MAPSA tapos you'll be charged ng beating the red light. they'll argue na nakasync yung traffic lights sa opposite road and they base their observations there. one time, bumaba ako then pina-observe ko sa kanila kung in-sync nga. Hinde! pero to my surprise, sabi ng kotong MAPSA, cge papacheck namen yan, pero huli ka pa ren. pero 100 pesos later, okay na. ingat na lang daw ako. bad trip.

Roxas Bldv/Coastal Rd intersection in front of Coastal Mall...

Southbound from Roxas Blvd going to Coastal Road (crossing the intersection),- maraming buwaya na nanghuhuli ng swerving if you're in the 2-3 innermost lanes as they're supposed to be turning left towards Tambo....

From Tambo,- if you're turning right to Roxas Blvd,- take the rightmost lane as early as possible. Else, swerving na naman as the 2 other lanes are supposed to be crossing the intersection or turning left to Coastal Road.....

    <snip> amper other vehicles

Estrada St cor Taft Ave in Malate. Very chaotic because of pedicabs going in EVERY direction they want to. Enforcers just ignore them.

Jeepneys blocking Taft while picking passengers right in the middle are ignored too.

But if you turn right from Estrada onto Taft on red, huli ka...then kotong. I saw this while eating inside a resto in the corner. This I don't mind since it is a violation.

But I mind the fact that the enforcers SELECT which violator to pay attention to. The kotong?

Same situation also sa Edsa-Mantrade/Slex flyover southbound, pag private cars changing one lane to the left or right, swerving na but mga bus na "nagchange" lane across 3-4 lanes hindi daw swerving iyon

Dati nahuli ako sa Buendia nag right turn on red signal. Hehehe. "You were supposedly on that corner guiding vehicles, not hiding on that damn tree and waiting for violators". Natinag yung nanghuhuli. Ah sir, no right turn on red signal eh. paulit ulit lang siya. When I asked for his full name before I give my license, ang sabi sakin, wag nyo na lang ulitin sir, ingat kayo. Hehe.

Paseo de Roxas coming from EDSA-Buendia is a favorite hang out of the MAPSA boys for coding violators and beating the red light so once mag yellow ang stop light, tigil na kayo.

These sites I'll be listing aren't necessarily "kotong" spots (but I'm sure some are), since they're the usual hang-outs of traffic enforcers.

    1. EDSA-Shaw Blvd intersection (above the underpass)
    2. Julia Vargas - San Miguel Ave. intersection going to Megamall
    3. Buendia - South Super Highway intersection (below the flyover)
    4. Shaw Blvd - Pioneer intersection - inner lane must turn left
    5. EDSA - Ortigas Ave. intersection (below the flyovers)
    6. EDSA going to Ayala Ave - don't use the yellow lane ;)

I want to add to this.. the road coming from Nagtahan before you turn left to Osmeņa Highway, I think that's Quirino Ave..

If you're going straight towards Taft Ave and Roxas Blvd. and not turning left at Osmeņa, make sure you are in the 2 rightmost lanes (4th&5th lanes according to the "officers") otherwise you'll be charged with swerving.

The kotong cops (mmda boys?) are waiting just after that intersection. I saw a parade of private cars there last Aug. 21 (a Fri. holiday). For sure they acquired much kotong money there that time. :boo: :bruce_lee:

Hindi Makati ang Manila! Mas Matalino to uy!

Watch out for these TRIO along Del Monte Ave
    corner A. Bonifacio Ave QC

Their usual modus is to post themselves along Del Monte Ave then wait for motorists coming from A. Bonifacio. Kahit green or orange pa yung traffic light pagtawid mo at medyo nahuli ka ng tawid (due to slow traffic transition in that area kc dun nagko-converge ang vehicles coming from Mayon at A. Boni) ay huhulihin ka nila. You may try your best to reason out with them but it will be to no avail. Kesyo beating the red light ka daw. Anak ng putsa . . . pano nila nakita yung traffic light e pagkalayo-layo nila! I don't usually resort to name-dropping pero in this situation na gaguhan na e siguro naman justified yun.

These TRIO consists of 2 yellow boys and 1 policeman, all in MCs. Their sked is usually from 4pm to 6pm. You'll never miss them once you drive by that area.
