The number was traced from a conduction sticker, wala pang plate number.

Baka na identity theft daw siya...

How? Of course the conduction is assigned / registered to that name.

Kaya nga doon pinadala yung notice.

Unless may typo or system error? Sa maling tao (to your friend) nairehistro yung sasakyan.

Still if I’m the real owner, that’s scary since hindi pala sa akin naka pangalan yung oto.

Kung loko loko yung friend mo he can claim that vehicle pala, alarm it as stolen since sa kanya pala naka under yung name.

You asked how? Could be some criminal secured a car loan using victim's name and address and other stolen identity papers. The criminal gets the alphard, the victim gets the burden of the loan and bad credit rating when the loan is defaulted later on.

Possible yes. Pero sobrang sabwatan na yan. 3 parties (criminal, car dealer and the bank / financial institution)

Still you can contest that and for sure you will be cleared.

Agree with Shadow. Claim it nang magkaalaman na.

What if the vehicle was used for a criminal activity? Claiming it's yours will get you in plenty more trouble.

[QUOTE=cast_no_shadow;2715948]Hindi na problema ng gobyerno kung nagpalit ka ng address at hindi ka nag update sa LTO.

Responsibilidad mo yun as an owner.

I received a mail yesterday.. it was a notice of violation from the Paranaque Traffic and Parking Office.. an ordinace violation receipt of Php3,500.00 for reckless driving/passing thru red light and DTS that happaned last July 1, 2018.. 3 pictures.. with a close up of the plate# showing my old car plate# sold last Dec. 2016 (actually traded in * Honda Shaw).

it says in order to clear my name if I already sold the vehicle, I have to download their Objection Notice form and Affidavit forms, fill it up, have it notarized and submit it to Paranaque city hall together with the notarized deed of sale and IDs of the new owner.. I already contacted them and they have no email address or even fax.. the only way to do this is to personally go to Paranaque City Hall..

parang masyado namang hassle to.. do I have to really do that.. or just let the new owner pay for it.. he was already notified about the violation and penalty.. it says he has 5 days to pay upon receipt.. failure to pay means the car will be tagged and he wont be able to register it.. registration is every March.

I saw the placard "No Contact Apprehension Policy in Effect" and my question is, is it really in effect? I mean, I saw a placard saying that no trucks are allowed but the trucks are plying the road.

If it is in effect, who will shoulder for the fee of violation if someone borrowed your car?
