It also empowers the Land Transportation Office to conduct random testing of public-utility drivers at transport terminals nationwide.
Random testing? WTF!? Who created this bill? Must be an idiot because it will be another source of corruption in the LTO.
SCENARIO

in terms of over-the-table bottle count, what is the equivalent of 0.05% blood alcohol level?
sabi dito 2 bottles of beer daw

Hopefully, this doesn't add to those laws that Filipinos treat merely as suggestions
We have very good laws but we are not that good at implementation![]()

kalokohan yung 3 sobriety test
they should invest sa breathalyzer

Something is missing. What about those drunkards who do not have a license yet driving and fail the sobriety test? Will that anti drunk driving law be enforced against them or just a mere driving without license. I know some parents who allow their teenage brat to use the family scooter even tho they dont have a license.
dami din naman kunsintidor na kapatid/parents.
may nakainuman ako sa bahay ng pinsan ko, magmomotor dapat daw sya
kaso sabi ng kapatid nya eh magkotse na daw - mahirap daw magmotor
pag nakainom.
For non-pro DL 12 months suspension, for PRO revocation na talaga.
OT
Langya bakit pa kasi PRO DL ko hehe.. Can you change a pro to non-pro?

If you check the law it appears:
No brethalyzer = No case
Which is how it should be
The sobreiety tests are just a joke and are literally a basis for nothing
yes breathalyzer kaagad..dimo na kailangan bumaba ng kotse..they can do passive test(talk) first..ito yung pag nag fail ka..active test(blow) ang gagawin sa iyo to read the actual bac
pag above .05 reading doon ka pabababain ng officer...
yung gadget with both active and passive function is somewhere around P35k just to give you an idea how cheap it is...
imagine kung may RBT kang madadaanan and they will pull off 5 to 10 cars and will do sobriety test ? abala yan...

Here are things you need to know about the new law:
A deputized law enforcement officer can only flag down a vehicle and ask a driver to undergo a sobriety test if there is a traffic offense.
If there is enough evidence to show that the driver is under the influence, they will be given a field sobriety test and an alcohol breath analyser test.
The test will be conducted to assess and determine the driver’s intoxication, and it will consist of a horizontal eye test, a walk-and turn test, and a one-leg stand.
Only when the driver fails the sobriety test will they be required to undergo a breathalyzer test to analyze their blood alcohol level.
Drivers of public utility vehicles must have a blood alcohol level of 0.0 percent, while regular drivers must have a concentration level below 0.05 percent.
Those who passed the test will only be sanctioned for their traffic offense, whereas those who failed will be arrested and have their vehicles impounded.
Violators will be penalized with a fine of P20,000 to P500,000; or a minimum of 3 months to a maximum of 20 years imprisonment.
A non-professional license holder will be given a 12-month suspension for the first offense, and permanent revocation for the second offense. A professional license holder will be subject to permanent revocation on their first offence.
breathalyzer test na agad!
mag-bobolahan pa...
when you get into an accident, you will naturally be confused, in shock, you name it. you probably won't be able to sign your usual signature... and they expect you to do "hoops and footstands"?...
there're a lot of ordinary people here whose only exposure to alcohol is the TV set, but can't do the 30 second foot stand.

^ sabi nga ng kaibigan ko, lugi nga daw iyong mga tulad niyang on the heavyside kasi nahihirapan talaga sila mag-balanse ng iisang paa ng matagalan
Non issue dahil if they really didn't consume alcohol but failed the field tests bec of physical limitation. Pag nag breathalyzer naman eh hinde sila babagsak eh. So walang huli and walang kaso.
They would only do breathalyZer pag nah fail Sa field tests
