Can't afford it? Don't buy it. Simple as that. A car isn't an asset.

What I would suggest is that you simply judge how much your time is worth. If the time spent on the hassles of commuting exceed the liabilities of owning a car, that's when you pounce on the car option. We can all look at the sunshine whenever we drive our car but it isn't cheap -- next thing you'll know is that you're complaining why you're spending Php2000 on gas semi-monthly.

    To answer the original query:
    1. We live in a gated subdivision where we have a parking space at home which I usually occupy. Most cars are parked outside exposed to the elements though. My family isn't really the type to fuss about a car's exterior -- as long as it gets you from point A to point B and is reliable, okay na sa kanila yan.

    2. While studying in DLSU-M, I eventually parked my car sa mismong Agno. This is because the school's parking facility is full once the clock hits 10am and it's not uncommon to see people roaming Taft-DLSU and back again just hunting for a space. The price was pretty steep for a student at around Php2,000/month (verus Php30/day for the school's level parking) and the price/day was quite ridiculous on my last term where I just had one subject as I got delayed by my "personal effectiveness III" class.. no joke.. but looking back, I'd say it paid off pretty well. I got a shade under the car, I don't even need to find a parking slot, I actually sleep inside the car during breaks, etc. Among the numerous benefits, I'd say the time I save NOT worrying about the parking slot paid off in spades.

if you are going to make the public street your garage, then don't get a car.
napuna ko... maraming kotse ang nakaparada sa street, dahil ginawang sala yung garahe...

Route through Moonwalk is actually faster than route through Sucat because of heavy traffic at Sucat Rd and BF....

Am normally early at Sales Bridge,- say 5PM+....

Wifey took a picture of the parked SUV this afternoon, but alas, the picture was half SUV, half me......

    Ohhh wellllll,- next time....

ah yes trafic at sucat is horrible, and also along dona soledad, imagine from makati to bicutan via skyway 10 mins. (roughly 11kms.) bicutan exit to our place via dona soledad 15 mins (roughly 3 kms.)

Bro,- I also tried the way of:
    1. Bicutan> Dona Soledad > Route through Paranaque City Hall > Sucat Rd > Home and
    2. Bicutan> Turn Right after Total Gas Station(E. Rod) > Side of NAIA Runway > C5 Ext > Home

    Sobrang traffic sa Dona Soledad!

The driver/owner of this SUV exerts all efforts not to be another vehicle parked on the road, even if he has to park with front and back just inches from the wall ..

Its a mazda 7. More of a necessity to fence the car than worrying about what others may say
