I'm a Marketing Professional in Toyota Global City, & yes its true that there are a lot of SAs (especially women) who sell a lot even if they lack the proper knowledge of what they're selling. Sometimes I'm Dumbfounded about this and wonder how they do it. Siguro magaling lang talaga mag sales talk. nadadaan sa bola at chika. I guess that's why they're in sales haha. And that's what I hate about my job... Seeing these kind of people thrive in this business without really understanding what they're selling. Its a big shame.

We have product trainings and all every Saturday for every vehicle. It is compulsory to those who don't meet their quota, & anyone who would like to refresh their PK is free to attend. I just don't know if this is being done with other dealerships... One of the reasons why I'm in Toyota is to change the image of SAs, I try to set an example with my colleagues, help them answer their clients' Product queries with the best I can. Di naman sa nagyayabang ako, pero I'm one of the top performers in our quarterly TMP exam. But I don't mind, because I love what I'm doing & Its not just all about the money. I'm doing all this for the love of cars.. (and girls) lol J/k :p
kulang na lang maging ***ing babae ka? or are you? hahaha

astig, VNT daw yung new hood scoop sa 2.5 variants, tsk.

The second you enter the showroom , they will immediately ask you if you are either a cash buyer or financing. Then they will ask if you are a Metrobank (they own the dealership) client or not. From there, they will assign a ditz salesperson to you. Once the salesperson arrives, they will ask which vehicle you want and will immediately start computing the payment schedules, as if they already closed the sale! All of that without making a single sales pitch on the vehicle. The experience gave me an impression that they don't seem to care and therefore will not put any effort in trying to sell you a vehicle to a customer.

Like what other commented, I also immerse myself with all the facts thoroughly about a certain vehicle before even entering the showroom. I go to the showroom to haggle out some deals. If the salesperson is knowledgeable (which based on my own statistics is a 0.01% chance of ever happening), then I try to validate and seek out more information about the vehicle. I also have this habit of testing their knowledge of the product they are selling. If they pass, I will push through with the sales. If they fail then it only goes to show that they don't deserve to close a sale and I take my business elsewhere.

With Toyota ....... Its the product that sells!

With due fairness to the sales people, there are some who go out of their way to accomodate you and explain (to the best of their knowledge) the products that they sell.

For the huge majority however ... they're just there to milk you dry and leave you hanging!
