--IMO--
this is very true... before you know it, they were able to develop something already. Like any other Japanese Light Commercial Vehicle, expect the IMV to have a lifespan of about 8 to 9 years. what we would be expect once every year or every 2-3 years are upgrades and facelifts to maintain its freshness in the market...Last edited by ianmitsulancer; February 5th, 2010 at 08:16 AM.

Once the current model is on the street, the replacement model is already in the works. It's just the way things go. Normal product cycle.
The M/T, V6, basic model, 4x4 Gas, etc. variants are already existing in other markets. It's just Toyota's marketing arm that makes cautions decisions as to which variants to introduce based on what they can sell the most and how much the market is willing to pay.

February 7th, 2010 06:56 AM #3804Sir, ask ko lang kung yung sinasabi mong " brake seems to be not that responsive", malambot bang tapakan yung brake n'ya?, kasi i took my unit also last month, jan. 2010, which is 2.5 G M/T, Ok. naman i-drive, magaan dalhin at malakas humatawsa expressway ( NLEX & SCTEX ), ang hindi ko lang kursunada is yung brake pedal n'ya, once i pulled it, ang lambot, tapos kailangan mo pang bombahin to gain the pressure,is it because of ABS ? ganon din ba ang unit n'yo?

I am not even affected anymore (my D4D was already sold) but would like to help out. Are you prepared to form a group of D4D owners that will go head on with TMP to finally address the issue and stop the case to case approach and it is under warranty anyway reply.
Remember that this will take time, effort and money to progress. Will you just sit down and watch from where you are right now or do you want to help? We will make this as structured as we can by setting a SMART mission and vision. I am giving this thread a week to progress, if not I will quite know where you stand.
I created a separate thread for this and you may want to post your reply there.
Thank you .

February 8th, 2010 05:58 PM #3806Actually, sabi ng casa its normal lang daw so we didn'g bother adjusting it. I doubt if its due to ABS since the ABS is only activated on sudden strong brakes. Nasanay lang ksiguro si misis sa Crosswind. I talked to my wife again when she came back here in japan and she said ok naman na, siguro sanayan lang. The one I used here for practice does have strong break, whereas when I bought the fort, mukhang malambot.
But I did able to experience the strength of the break twice when I was driving it and so far (para sa akin) its no problem at all. Si misis lang yung nag-comment.

February 9th, 2010 09:21 AM #3808Mga Sir/Ma'am,
Ask ko lang po how long did you wait for the release of your plate number. Kasi po nabili ung fortuner last Dec. 29, 2009 (Toyota Noth-Balintawak) but until now ala pa rin ung plate number sabi ng Toyota may problema daw sa LTO.
Thank you po.

February 10th, 2010 08:52 PM #3809Sa akin nga e!, ganoon din, nakuha ko yung unit ko, last jan. 21, 2010, up to now wala pa rin plate nos. sabi nung agent, by end of the month pa raw, kaya kung kailangan kong gamitin yung unit ko, inilalabas ko, what for at bumili tayo ng sasakyan then hindi natin pwedeng gamitin kasi walang plaka.

Getting a toyota would be ideal mostly for those looking for practicality or one who will use it...
