February 24th, 2007 03:30 AM #2951tnx for the response!
natuto ako magmaneho sa diesel, isuzu c-240. wala ako problema eversince sa ingay n arangkada. now with the crdi, na in-love pa ako lalo sa diesel.
planning to buy a fortuner. problema ko, may problema sa crdi ng toyota. im now at a lost!
its my FIRST TIME to buy a NEW car!
ayaw kong umiyak dahil baka matsambahan ako. because of this, im torn between diesel and gas. i average 80 kms a week. mostly city driving lang and no off road adventures. go to pangasinan only during holidays.
im leaning towards gas dahil nga baka umiyak ako kung makakuha ako ng "calamansi"(lemon . . . hehehe).
i know this has been thoroughly discuss. but just wana know if im really making the right decision if i buy a gas variant? secondary consideration lang ang price ng gasolina kung mas ok naman talaga ang gas.
di pa ba talaga naayos ng toyota crdi problems nila?
please help!
salamat!

Sabi ng iba ung mga 1st batch D4-Ds na nairelease here are ung mga nagkaroon ng problems. But you can never be sure.. I settled for the gas variant instead.
I heard some rumors there will be TRD Version of the Fortuner.. But it is only rumors.. Maybe aTRD blinged up Fortuner..

February 24th, 2007 10:44 AM #2953Guys the unthinkable happened yesterday evening.. my dad is using the fort when suddenly at front of the mandarin hotel this stupid mapsa guy let their lane go then all of the sudden he stopped them right away. my dad was surprised as the other motorist did. but the scary thing is when my dad slammed on the brakes it didnt stop instead he crashed into the frontier in front of him. though damaged to both cars are minimal still the impact caused dents to the lower grille of the front that did something with its aircon... guys totoo pala na delikado ang brakes ng fort... what can I do with it?? is changing of the brake pads a good remedy? coz toyota balintawak does not want to open the brakes till its 5000 km PMS... it happend to my dad at least 3 times now and to once before pero nothing serious happened ngaun lang.. ibyabyahe ko pa naman sya sana..

Tanong mo muna baka ma-void ang warranty. Buti walang nasagasaan.

Brake pads are wear and tear items normally not under warranty. Unless Toyota Philippines is nicer than Toyota here which doesn't cover it.

February 25th, 2007 06:19 PM #2960our fort is just 2 months old with barely 3K on its odo.. didnt expect to get this same problm as the other forts. Im tking in the fort tom to toyota balintawak north for repairs.. not much cosmetic damaged done on the fort panel alignment lang cguro un but the after market grille is damaged na and needs replacement.. I dont think I can claim this on insurance.. and the aircon is busted.. kasi after my dad crashed plums of smoke came out of the engine bay of the fort and its the aircon nga raw.. I hope pwedw ko rin ma claim sa warranty un.. since almost new naman ung fort ko eh...
I am happy for you. We had a very bad experience with VW Philippines. We will avoid getting from...
