i have another topic to discuss and ask you guys. regarding sa air intake. yung car is 1.3 uear old. so under warranty pa kasi 3 urs ata. but plan to change the air intake. ma coid ba ang warranty if ever mag change nang air intake manifold.
mahina kasi hatak kaya paln to change air intake manifold or change the filter to aftermarket K&N.
pls guys. waiting your advised.

wait wait... pag magpapalit ka lang ng air filter bakit kailangan palitan ang intake manifold?

ung filter lang papalitan kung drop in air filter

kung cone air filter, aalisin mo lang ung buong stock air box

at most papalitan mo ung air tube

hindi gagalawin ang intake manifold hindi gagalawin ang throttle body

there are many other, easily-reversible, non-stock modifications one can make.

why do not the car manufacturers install them as OEM in the first place?

yes if you're goal is to make it easier for the engine to breathe then remove the air filter hehe

that's crazy of course so the next best thing is to put an air filter that lets more air thru than OEM

A K&N filter will cost 5x more than the usual air filter but with little to no gains in performance. If you want a small car with a small NA engine to perform better, fit it with grippier tires and find ways to lower its weight.

nag change kasi ako nang wider tire from 175 to 195. din sabi ni misis medyo na iba daw ang takbo sa uphill parang hirap si vios. din somebody says change air filter to have a better hatak daw.

yung lang ang binago yung gulong. tapos nag lagay din nang spring cushion pala sa apat na spring front and back.

yung exhaust di pa pinalitan nilagyan lang nang muffler sa nag kabit nang gulong saka spring cushion kasi umangat nang kunti si vios. kita yung stock exhaust kaya yun nilagyan nang muffler tip.

I meant a grippier tire, not just a wider tire. You can look at Bridgestone Potenza or Michelin Pilot 4S but these are a bit expensive than the usual tires. Maybe the GT SX2 will be a more affordable option.

Pero as what Doc stated, just press the accelerator pedal harder and rev the engine higher. I used to remember driving our old 2009 Jazz 1.3L AT. It was just a slow car and I have to get the revs high, above 4K rpm, to keep it cruising at 120kmh.

uphill lang naman pero di naman nasyadong slop kunti lang parang fly ocer lang na medyu mahaba ang slop.
si misis kasi ang gumagamit. ala kasi ako ngayun sa Pinas.

Kung talagang nahihinaan na kayo sa Vios, benta nyo na lang. Di talaga oobra sa hatakan yung Vios 1.3L. Madali ibenta yan Vios.

Kung gusto mo ng malakas ang hatak, bili ka ng kotse na may turbo gas engine. Brand new or used, marami pagpipilian. Mayrun sedan (Civic RS, Forte GT, WRX, Mazda6) or hatchback (Focus Ecoboost) or CUV (Forester XT, Escape Ecoboost, Coolray) or wagon (Levorg GTS).
