Nakabili na ako ng coolant. Toyota pre-mixed 50/50. 300.65 un price humingi ako discount dahil metrobank card. Bumili din ako spark plug un replacement lang. Mas mura pa pala sa toyota compare sa banawe.

Question ko lang, pag ilalagay ko un coolant (top up) lang, hangang saan un level sa pag top up? Ok lang ba kahit half lang? Kc pag mainit un engine tumataas un coolant. Salamat sa mga inputs.

it's called "top up", because you add fluid until the top line.
heh heh.

yes, you can do only halfway up, but... what's the point? mas madaling ma-uubos.. mas madalas lagyan.. why do it twice, when you can do it only once?

ok lang. all the manuals i have read, "allow" topping up to the max line.
malayo naman ang max level sa filler hole.. there's room for expansion.

comment: if your engine temp causes your properly-filled overflow cannister to overflow, there's something wrong with your engine / engine's cooling system.

Another question regarding naman spark plugs. Based sa manual every 40k ang palit ng spark plugs. Pero sa casa every 10k ang palit. Baka pag 40k un yung iridium? Right now almost 12k na mileage ko since changing my spark plugs. Ndi na ako sa casa nagpapa pms. How long do i really need to change spark plugs? Thanks and sorry for the noob question.

when we were younger, we would pull out the sparking plugs at least once a year, and if they do not look too worn, clean and gap them, then re-install. and they do last several years..
these plugs' service lives are much longer than what the "advisers" recommend..
i do not know why today's "mechanics" replace them as a matter of dumb routine. maybe it's because sparking plugs are not really that expensive.
iridium plugs? i read somewhere here, that there are two types of iridium.. one that has a regular lifespan, and another that has a considerably longer lifespan.. now which is which...?

I want to check my spark plugs or clean the used one but takot ako kc nasa may engine sya and i have no idea on the mechanical parts. Mine is the regular spark plugs worth 85php each sa toyota. Mileage ng vios ko is at 32k so twice na sya napalitan ng spark plugs. 10k pms in casa and on 20k sa banawe.

mag-paturo po kayo sa mekaniko, kung hindi pa malakas ang loob nyo. it's not difficult... just some common sense.

San po ba kadalasan nilalagay yung after market alarm box ng vios? Gusto ko sana i adjust alarm sensor sensitivity. Nakuha ko kasi itong vios 2nd hand. Hindi na din maalala nun may ari kung san nakalagay. Lightning lab po yun brand nun car alarm.

kaya naman makita yun ng walang tools. silip lang. kung gusto mo ng better access may cover ka lang na tatanggalin

hihihi, may experience ka ba sir sa delo 400? hindi ko na kasi makita ung nabasa ko na parang rough ang takbo ng vios sa delo 400 (kung tama pa ung pagkakaalala ko).

Sakto lang. Pero kahit anong rush hour traffic iharap mo dito sa Vios, always above 13km/L ang FC. Last "bad" FC ko was when nastranded erpat ko sa Manila dahil sa traffic na dulot ng baha, 12.4km/L yata yun.

No experience sa Delo 400 but I heard maganda ang Top 1 SDO sa Vios. Yes pang diesel pero ppwede sa Vios.

I usually change my spark plugs religiously every 10k kms. Mura lang naman ang plugs. I always buy sa casa +- 90 pesos lang each. Pwede pa yung plugs pero pinapalitan ko na para maganda lagi sunog ng gasolina.

For reference lang for those who might wanna know.

Just very recently (yesterday) replaced my 06's clutch disc, cover and release bearing. Spent 3.5k for replacement parts and another 3k for labor (including tip sa mechanic).
+ piso pantahi sa butas na bulsa. :D

Sir paano kaya malalaman kung palitin na po clutch disc and release bearing?

Usual sign is slipping, you rev the engine pero it doesn’t pull you as quick. Another is wild vibration when taking off. Kahit paano mo i.templa yong clutch, it still vibrates.

The latter happened to mine first, then later on meron ng slipping from time to time.

Have you tried calling your nearest casa to verify if included yung vios mo sa recall re: power window?

Last week nag-claim yung officemate ko for her 2008 Vios G sa Toyota Bicutan. According to her, free at mabilis lang naman daw gawin (wala pang 1.5 hour).

I advise na itawag mo muna kung may available na parts bago ka pumunta. HTH
