Update update!

Naalala niyo siguro na a week or so, I was on a quest to determine the worst FC I could get on my Vios (details below) well, here it is....

Conditions are pure city driving. Well the car was driven hard, I shift usually from 4-5k if given the chance. AC at 1 always pero thermostat depends on the weather -- couldn't shoot it up 'til fan speed 2 kasi malamig ang panahon, I would be freezing.

It's a June 2012 acquired 1.3 Manual. 4300++ on the odo. Fuel used is XCS Plus

And the FC is ! 7.3km/L

Pero pina-puro ko siya. Just for kicks. Kung automatic yun pump, probably around 7.5km/L. I was running on the 4th bar and the fuel filled up was 21-ish liters so it was a bit accurate.

Don't know if I can get any lower than that, siguro pag sobra traffic plus lots and lots of idling. Anyone wanna do the same? I wanna see if the car can yield 5-6
km/L

My worst FC is 6.7km/L using petron xtra unleaded.

Taas agad rpm,traffic,city driving.

5150km na ako. Baka next week pa ako makakapag PMS.

EDIT: May tapatalk na ako pero stuck sa processing kapag magcoconnect. Ok rin pala forum runner mas smooth kaysa sa mobile site.

Yun pala yung ibang pump na sobrang bagal magkarga, parang pa piso piso lang dagdag, yung ibang pump sobrang bilis eh, haha...

ano sasabihin mo?

"Boss full tank, puro?"

Ano sir... sinabi ko ganito.

"Boss, XCS nga, full tank yun puro." Tapos nag-affirm siya, "puro boss?" then sumagot ako oo.

Kapag sobrang bagal ng akyat ng liters tapos patigil tigil. Ayun na yun. Pero kung mabilis pa rin, tamad yung gas boy.

Malaki ba talaga ang difference ng puro? Sa 10 liters, mga ilan kaya estimate na mababawas sa automatic kesa puro?

Experience ko sa uno (#1 sa nozzle) oo effective naman. Sa puro, ganun din.

Renz tinatakpan din ba yung maliit na butas sa ilalim ng nozzle? Pinagawa ko na yan dati ayun tinakpan nga, purong gas ang dumadaloy walang bubbles. Ngayon kasi ginagawa ko ako mismo nagffill up pero binabagalan ko, hindi naka auto. Di ko rin tinatakpan yung maliit na butas kasi sobrang tagal, lalo na kung kasama family naiinip masyado.

Tsaka paano pala yun malalaman sayo kung puno na e diba manual ang pagkarga? Hehe.

Tingin ko chiks, kasi tumitigil eh. Tapos yumuyuko yung gas boy.

Meron ata linya sa loob ng gas tank. May sinisilip sya eh.

Oo nainip nga yun mga kasama ko kahapon. Nakapatay pa man din makina ko.

Worst FC we ever encountered was 2km/l+ on a 1.6 Sentra B13.... this was done on the Subic track. :D

^I think di hiyang ang Vios sa Petron Xtra no? Kasi daming nagsasabi na worse FC nila pag naka Xtra hehe.

Nakayuko din yun gas boy nung nagpagas ako ng puro habang tinatakpan yung maliit na butas sa nozzle. Tsaka makikita mo talagang sobrang bagal ng flow ng gas pero walang bubbles. Tinatry ko rin minsan yun kaso madalas natatapunan daliri ko ng gas haha tsaka sobrang tagal nakakainip din. Kaya ngayon di ko na tinatakpan pero mabagal ang pag fill up ko.

^ Went to the track with a full tank (from Petron or PTT in Subic) then after the runs, it was loaded up again. This also includes leaving the engine idling after the runs though.

When i run WOT on NLEX, the MID reading drops to around 2km/L then when i release the gas pedal in gear at high rpm, it jumps up to 99km/l. :D

mga sir okay lang ba ipa PMS ung vios kahit hindi pa 80k? 78+++k na at hindi ko alam kung kelan previous PMS kasi 2nd hand. nabili ko * 77+++k. ipapa pms ko sana sa 79k.

Btw, went to Nasugbu Batangas yesterday. It was a three car convoy, the lead car was our 1.8V MT FD Civic and the third car was our 1.8S AT FD Civic. Ako sa gitna. It was quite interesting since it was the first time my car traveled that far (~260kms balikan and it was a good chance to stretch its legs ... of course, SLEX, chill lang. 120-140kph average since convoy nga and around 9AM na yun. Btw, I chanced upon the breakfast run of Trackhos. God damn their cars are something to drool at! Lamborghini after lamborghini, ferrari after ferrari. Probably the cheapest car that was included on their convoy was a Toyota 86 with an Aero kit.

I was travelling along SLEX Alabang then around 130kph when a yellow porsche zoomed right past through me. In seconds, it was gone. Then as I was nearing Petron SLEX, here comes their 20-ish car convoy. Syempre I gave way, then watched their "showdown" ... one ferrari even downshifted beside me. It was a good 2 minute car ****.

Going back, on the way to Nasugbu and back, there were a lot of times that I really needed to gun it since I had to overtake sloooow cars along the highway and pansin ko lang ano, while the FD pulls effortlessly, the Vios really had to put some effort but hinde naman ako naiiwan. The FD overtakes using 4th gear btw. Pero ako, second & third. Hehe. Lakas ng third gear ng Vios. During convoys kasi, I'm the type of person who wants to have the lead car in front of me.. not in front of the car in front of me. :bwahaha:

Pero ayun nga, shifting around 4000-4500rpm always during the run, I expected for the FC to get low. But no, I'm on my 280th kilometer and the 5th bar hasn't gone down yet.

The 1.3L puny engine of the Vios does ok... but additional power is more than welcome. Dapat pala nag-Blaze ako. Hehe. Naka-XCS lang ako eh. Ano kayang bolt ons pwede para at least I could get more power from the engine. Nothing major so I wouldn't have to sacrifice much sa FC. IHE kaya?

Ilan sakay mo renz? Medyo hirap nga umovertake ang Vios kapag loaded. Yung sa amin mukhang kailangan na talagang linisin ang TB para bumalik yung dating hatak.

Kung mag uupgrade ka, yung K&N drop in wala rin gaanong tulong hehe. Minimal. Siguro kung naka Headers upgrade pwede pa.

Recently went to Acuaverde in Laiya. The FC I got is 16.5 km/l (full tank method). Not bad for a 1.3 AT

Okay had a quick run to the province earlier (left Manila around 9, got back around 1)

Was using XCS again. Di na ko bumalik sa Shell FS hehe. FC was great, it was above 16km/L definitely. Considering I wasn't babying the car I can say that it's very good.

From Bicutan to Calamba exit, walang speed guns. But once you enter the new SLEX, From Calamba to Sto. Tomas, meron isa naka-position under the underpass. Nung umaga, wala pa siya. Pauwi (12-ish) naka-pwesto na. Luckily looks like tinatamad pa siya mag-tutok sa kotse since the speed radar he was holding was pointed downwards. If he was "on-duty" the Civic in front of me who looks like is running ~150kph and I would have been caught. Hehe. Heads up lang.

Buti natitiis mo na 1 lang fan speed kahit arawan hehe. Kahit kasi malamig ang panahon ngayon basta may araw ako bumibiyahe, palaging 2 fan speed ko. Pag gabi, minsan 1. :bwahaha:

Tipid ng Vios mo renz. Yung sa amin tagal ko ng di nasusukat FC kahit guesstimate lang via fuel gauge bars hehe. Dinetail ko this past few days using sealant and Collinite wax. Unfortunately di ko pa nappicturan ng may araw.



Nag convoy kami ng erpat ko one time dahil nagkasabay kami ng route pauwi hehe. He called me up saying na di raw nakakasilaw yung buga nung projector, which is ang akala ko, slightly nakakasilaw kasi tumatama yung ilaw sa bottom part ng HL kung saan nakalagay yung parklight and signal light. Mahigit one year na yung retrofit pero di ko pa nakikita in third person sa gabi yung Vios running on the road with its lights on. :bwahaha:

Saan kaya maganda mag palinis ng MAF at Throttle body? yung mura lang din. Ayoko i-DIY baka madisgrasya. hahaha. mahal pa naman yung Maf sensor pag nasira. :D

Madali lang yung MAF, ang madugo yung TB hehe medyo maraming babaklasin bago maabot yung TB.

Sa MAF kasi, tanggal, spray contact cleaner, let dry, then kabit MAF. Tapos na. Just be sure NOT to touch the sensors. Ang itsura nya is dalawang manipis na white wire. Tago naman to, so hindi basta basta mahahawakan unless you reach in.
