It's normally under the dash, should be at the lower portion of the evaporator, going towards the engine bay wall. I haven't tried looking for where it is in the Rav, but will try to look rin kung madaling makita.
That seems quite pricey nga for cleaning aircon. If it is not covered in the warranty anymore, you can opt to have aircon services done na lang sana elsewhere outside of the casa. You can scan your area for aircon repair specialty shops as your alternative other than the casa for the next cleaning.

pepengTom,
yep autobeat is right. same thing happened to my civic before lagi nababasa yung front passenger area due to the dripping evaporator. dinala ko sa sanden noon what the mechanic did at that time was just to locate the drain pipe from the condenser and just blew out what was clogging it.
are you using gel type air fresheners or oil based air fresheners? usually nage-gel yun sa loobng evaporator. that may have cause your drain pipe to clog.
m2,
try mo dalhin sa manila midwest if they can do something about the glass chip. one branch that i know of is at kalayaan ave corner v. luna near QC circle.
Just got my K&N drop in filter today. mahal na talaga ngayon 5 yrs ago nasa 2.5k lang ang drop in filter noon. the one i got for the rav4 is now priced at 4k.
well at least sulit na rin since i don't need to buy a new one for the rest of my rav's life :D i can have a clean filter every 10tkm instead of waiting to replace the OEM filter every 20-40tkm

Assuming a replacement air filter is the same price as a Pajero replacement air filter (less than Php300.00), you'd need 13 filter changes to make up for the cost of the K&N. Gaano pa katagal yun? hehehe. Plus the cost of the cleaning kit stuff pa.
Sabi naman nila may added benefits din ang K&N so I guess that's where the extra $$$ goes.
Pero for fleet maintenance/management mababaliw siguro ko kakalaba ng mga air cleaner. hehehe. Mas practical yung salpak na lang ng salpak. And with the relative cheapness of replacement air cleaners, I can change the element at every oil change.
Just my dos sentimos.
