yan ba ung parang pumipitik pitik na sound? parang ticking na back and forth?
meron din ako nyan. dati naman wala... pero ngayon, parang lumalakas e.
nasa 12k palang ako.

pitik pitik na sound i think, thermostat yan. kung whitish/blueish ang smoke sa tambutso mo every morning start ups pa check mo na lang.

AFAIK, that's just moisture.

me too! may white smoke at startup but its not eveident. I figure its just moisture since may water droplets sa exhaust.

initially problem ko lang yun squeaking sound sa loob, pero naremedy naman ng foam

blueish smoke? hmmm...

yup, its pretty possible din na moisture yun. iba kasi ang characteristic ng white smoke coming out sa muffler every morning start ups kung may some problem engine mo. the white smoke has a tinge of metallic smell and looks like the smoke after ka nag pa putok ng ribintador. Big puff of white smoke after the moment of ignition and then wala ng white smoke after.

oic... will watch out for it...

lagi kasing exercised yung rav4 ko... hehehe... full range ng rpm nagagamit and madalas-dalas na ngayon ang high speed runs (140kph is already normal to me) dahil sa new NLEX...

suggest ko peeps mag fully synthetic na kayo... IMO, baka pag maling viscosity ang nagamit sa rav4 dun nagsisimula ang oil sludge

right now... may isa pa akong naalalang problem... nung after kong nabaha... kapag partially depressed lang ang clutch may faint noise... audible lang nga siya mula sa loob ng cabin... pero kapag fully depressed naman ang clutch nawawala... hindi kaya bearing lang ito or something?

after ko rin nabaha... parang mas maingay ang takbo ng alternator...

The same happend to me. Pinalitan na ang clutch kit ng casa free of charge.

on the matter of viscosity/consistency of oil, this morning i noticed that the oil has some black suspended particles. Ano kaya yon? Sludge? Katakot naman.
On sept 14 2004 at 12,000km nagchange oil ngTGFS (SL 5W-40), then in 16,000 km, dinagdagan ng elixir syn. oil. Now its 19,000 km.
Sludge na kaya?

black suspended particles? is it relatively big the size of particles? better check it up sa mechanic mo or sa casa. pa open mo yung oil pan kung may matitigas na substances(sediments) na dumikit sa loob. tanong mo lang kung sino gumagawa ng elixir syn. oil, Tanong mo din sa TMP Customer service mismo kung specified ba nila ang oil na gamitin. If your under warranty pa, you would be better off kung gamit mong oil is specified ng TMP. pero pa verify mo lang yang sediments na yan.

usually ang sludge mudish color, chocolate milk shake. after a while titigas na yan. yung sa amin is tumigas na talaga like varnish, tapos ang naka clog sa oil pump namin is yung scale like sediments na blackish brown.

with regards sa RAV4 namin, we found out na if you total yung mga extended change oils namin sa casa would total to 7 missed change oils. we change oil naman regularly sa casa pero hindi TMO ang gamit nila and hindi talaga exactly every 5000kms. the biggest that we had was 14,000kms., What was very questionable about sa problem ng RAV4 namin was that, 15 days after the change oil at 100,962kms. nangyari ang sludging sa RAV4 namin. ayun nga dala agad namin sa casa and the next thing we knew sira na ang engine.
we are still in the process of negotiation regarding what will be done with regards our issue.

Good thing TMP has already offered to get into the issue na. Were happy with that na.

pero before nun, with the maximum pa nga of 14,000kms na hindi na pa change oil, hindi naman nagloko ang sasakyan. dun na xa 15 days after napachange oil na namin.

Thank goodness!

Our dealer and Toyota Motor Philippines has already took care of our RAV4's problematic engine. We are already in the negotiation table. Hope it all goes well!

Please learn from our experience. Always, ask Toyota for the specified engine oil and Proper engine maintenance.
