May 10th, 2015 03:22 PM #10489My 2008 Innova vvti automatic had some cracking sounds below the engine and the mechanic said the catalytic converter is the culprit. So the mechanic removed the catalytic converter and the annoying sound is gone. My question is, would its removal have an effect on the engine performance? I was told that the car has 2 catalytic converters, so the removal of one of them would have no effect at all....Is this true? has anyone done this to his car?...
