Change every 3000 km. Don't use Synthetic anymore. Or use synthetic and change every 5000 km.

Recorded my best FC today, when I tried to do an eco-run from Subic to Manila via SCTEX/NLEX.

    26.59 km/L
    138 km
    5.19L

Stayed strictly at 70-80 kph, keeping within 1,800-2,200 rpm, with the lightest pedal input possible. I'm a bit skeptic though with the really high figure, since my previous best was just 18.8 km/L although that was via OG Road. Still, really big difference. Although it was my usual full tank method (automatic), a variance of half a liter could already drastically change the FC reading since very little fuel was consumed.

Makes me wonder how sure people are of their km/l reading if their total fuel usage was less than 10L.

i wish people share monthly fuel consumed and distance travelled. im sure only a handful of cars can even break 8km/L.

Wow sobrang taas nyan. Mahal pa toll fee kaysa sa gas.

    Total distance travelled: 3,152 km
    Average FC: 11.475 km/L

    April 2015
    Total distance travelled: 2,656 km
    Average FC: 10.517 km/L

    imageuploadedbytsikot-forums1432143518.126672.jpg

Those averages include city and highway driving. If I single out all my fill-ups from pure city driving, average would be around 8.5 km/L.

More of I do a lot of highway driving. The Vios has a really big disparity between city and highway driving. The lack of gears plus heavy body make it thirsty in low speed traffic, but the good aero and the small displacement makes it efficient on the highway as long as you maintain a constant speed.

Most likely the Altis will do better in the city, but I doubt it could break 20 km/L on the highway. Still waiting for my unit to become available, might spill over to June though :/

Lately my FC has been decreasing on the Altis (1.6L m/t). I'm doing 8.5 to 9.5km/L in the city and around 10.5km/L mix. Used to be +1km/L better and i'm attributing this to the summer heat and the traffic on my daily route which has gone worse... which is taking its toll on my patience so i'm heavier on the gas pedal too.

    2014 Vios 1.3E AT
    21.26 km/L
    254 km, 11.947L

Pure highway driving (except for about 5km of city driving inside Dinalupihan town proper). NLEX-SCTEX round trip, stuck to 80 kph the whole time, with 2 on board.

This is a more accurate result than my previous run because I traveled further and used more fuel (reducing the impact of variability during fill-ups). I also made sure to fill up in the same station and same pump.
