I remember seeing dyno charts from Speedlab showing varying power and torque curves from similar Toyota engines.

Yup. They mentioned mas matindi pa daw sa mitsubishi. They did a few montero na sobrang layo ng power and torque figures from advertised and from other similar spec models. Yun nga lang, sobrang layo in a very bad way. Sobrang baba ng boost kaya baba ng hp nung montero

what i do find curious is that if Toyota Phil claims that our units here are not affected, that means they get the engines from a different factory that was not affected by the scandal and thus was not shut down. So we shouldn't be affected by the supply shortage brought about from the said engine factory. Right?

They also said that with the safety tests from Daihatsu-based vehicles.

methinks they are not affected locally, because we have no local laws involving those parameters.

We only require euro4 emission, walang EPA rating na KPL.
