    Ako po yung nagpost na una sa thread na to. Im having a Totota Corolla GL 1.6 1990. It's carb was cleaned three times but the problem still existing. I also change new fuel filter. Do i need to drain and clean my gas tank? Is it the carb that has problem or maybe some other parts? Thanks

    What gasoline do you have in your tank? Is it a mix of different gasolines?

    Since August 2009, i am using Petron XCS. So i think the unleaded with E10 were already gone in my gas tank.

    Sir, nagloloko pa ba? Pareho tayo auto and I had that problem as well pero I don't think it's the gas.

    Ang ginawa ko (sunod sunod):
    Check kuryente, yung dist at plugs, check yung hoses, baka may leak, check fuel filters at pump, baka nasira na or barado, check yung timing as extra precaution, then check yung carb, choke at lagyan ng carb cleaner muna.

    Ang problem db bumaba ang idle mo at nahihirapan makina mo, stall minsan tapos malamang humina hatak. Kung okay ang lahat, the Carb is the last place to really check. Nangyari sa kin, may vacuum leak pala na hindi madaling ma-spot, so even kahit ipagawa ko palagi, bumabalik problema. Tama lang na nilinis nila ung carb pero baka naman hindi nila inayos ang setup nung ibalik, or meron leak sa intake manifold, baka andun yung vacuum leak. Kung wala dun at okay ang carb, extra check ang exhaust, headers, yung flange sa pipe, yung sa kin may singaw din sa ilalim kaya pala walang bwelo yung arangkada, bitin. Check mo muna yung maliit na bagay kasi minsan overlooked yun e pag tumagal yun nagiging culprit.

    I think E10 is not the problem kasi minsan gumagamit ako ng shell pag gipitan na, pero XCS talaga ako to be sure.

    i have the same car as yours, TS. Pero i've been using E10 gas for almost 1 year na awa naman ng Diyos wala pa kong na-eexperience na malalang sira sa karburador, fuel lines or kung saan man dumadaan ang gasolina.

    Patanong na rin mga sir kung ano-anong parts ng kotse ang pwedeng sirain ng E10 gas and kung gano katagal bago masira ang mga ito, thanks! nahihiwagaan lang kasi ako....

    ^^ It will most likely be broken after quite sometime. Using e-10 for almost a year in your carbed vehicle is BAD, definitely BAD. :nono:

    I would like to quote from sir GH...

    If you keep on using E10, you will have rough running engine and the jets in your carb will get damaged.

    yun nga sir pinagtataka ko bakit smooth pa din takbo ng engine ko kahit naka e10 na ko, hindi pako nagpapalinis ng carb but i think i should do this one of these days, thanks!

    Dito ko na po itanong para direct na...Would a 96 Corolla Gli (EFI) falls in the category of EFI cars that could be damaged by gasolines with E10?

    Salamat sir. Based dun sa mga ginawa mo meron na rin ako tinest sa car ko. Una, pinalitan ko spark plug, tapos chineck din yung kuryente, pinatune up ko na rin, nilinis (thrice) ang carborador, pinalitan ang fuel filter, bagong palit din yata ang fuel pump ko, bumili ako ng bagong vacuum advacer (yung nakakabit sa distributor), tapos pinalitan ko ulit spark plug ko to platinum. After ko magawa one by one to, nag improve sya pero ndi totally nawala yung problem. Pero based sa observation ko, nawawala yun kapag napainit ko ng maayos ang makita pagstart ko sa umaga or pag galing sa matagal na pagpark. Kasi pag start ko, 500 rpm nya, so binobomba ko ng konti tapos idle ng mga 5 mins bago ko itakbo. Hindi ko muna din agad binubuksan ang aircon, ntayin ko muna medyo uminit makina. Sa ngayon, napapagtyagaan ko na kahit ganito pero gusto ko pa rin umayos sya tulad ng dati. Ano sa tingin mo sir ang pwede ko pa gawin? Ok na ba yung car mo?

    most probably ndi nagana un automatic choke ng carb mo, supposed to be pag start ng engine at malamig makina mdyo mataas idle, but kung pag start ng engine mdyo mababa idle i think di nagana un automatic choke. pero pag nag warm up n ung engine ok na normal na
