    Magtatanong lang po ako about dun sa kotse ko (Toyota Corolla GL 1.6 1990). About May 31, nagpakarga ako ng gas sa Shell (unleaded), after nun nagpark ako then nung nagstart ulit ako, bumabagsak na RPM tapos namamatay. So sabi ng mekaniko, madumi daw karborador, so nilinis nila. Pero after nila nalinis, medyo kinakapos nman yung takbo nya especially sa 2nd at 3rd gear. So pinalinis ko ulit at pinalitan yung ilang parts ng karborador dun sa loob pero ganun pa din. Lumipat ako mekaniko, nilinis din nya pero ganun pa rin. nagtry kami na palitan ng spark plug, nagtry ng bagong high tension wire. Pinalitan ko na din yung vaccum advancer sa may distributor, pero ganun pa rin. Dun sa patatlong mekaniko, nilinis ulit nya pero after medyo nawala yung kalog. Pero andun pa rin tinitiis ko na lang especially pag bagong start sa umaga at sa matagal na parking. Kelangan ko painitin ng at least 5 mins. May nagsabi na palitan ko din daw ng platinum yung spark plug, ginawa ko na rin. Sa tingin nyo po, ano kaya ang may problema? Kelangan ko na ba palitan karborador ko?

    Adjust mo idling. Bka di sanay sa E10 sasakyan mo.

    Your 4AF engine cannot use E10 gasoline. You cannot get gasoline from Shell because all their gasoline have E10.

    Shift to using Petron XCS because it does not contain E10.

    If you keep on using E10, you will have rough running engine and the jets in your carb will get damaged.

    Usually the rule with E10 is that if it's EFI, it's probably good to go. E10 mostly damages carb engines.

    Sir, dati ang pinapakarga ko ay yung unleaded ng caltex ndi alam na may halo na palang E10 yun since may, so nung nalaman ko by August, XCS na ang pinapakarga ko.. So ngayon XCS na ginagamit ko pero ganun pa rin yung problema. Ano kaya po ang pwede ko pa ipacheck. Salamat

    It would help us if you would tell us what car do have. We cannot read your mind from the computer.

    BTW, if your car has a carb engine, you might need to have the carb cleaned and re-tuned if you have accidentally used E10 gasoline.

    It would help us if you would tell us what car do have. We cannot read your mind from the computer.

    BTW, if your car has a carb engine, you might need to have the carb cleaned and re-tuned if you have accidentally used E10 gasoline.

    Not really. Even EFI engines can get damaged by E10.

    Sir,

    Dito ko na po itanong para direct na...Would a 96 Corolla Gli (EFI) falls in the category of EFI cars that could be damaged by gasolines with E10?

    Hi Guys,

    Just want to ask like how much is it to replace a timing belt. I went to sheel station, and the shell mechanic told me it will cost me 5k-6k including labor. The mechanic has been working in that shell station for quite some time now, I should say more than 5 years. Just want to know your opinion.

    Sir ok na ba yung sasakyan mo? if hindi pa eto sir try niyo i have same problem with you sa car model. got that from my tito. yung una kng mekaniko replace yung sparkplg 4 tips bosch. same prob. linis carb same lipat ako mekaniko. even tha condenser yung maliit parang capasitor na nasa distribotion cap pinalitan same ang ginawa ng mikaniko yung mismung distribyosion cam nniluwagan yung tornilyo yung mis mung na kakapit sa makina ha then inadjust niya forward and back ward forward gaganda yung rpm mo kaso hihina yung hatak sa akin yung ganun ako na nag DIY try error sa akin kasi parang na sakal so ok yung idlng niya pero mahina yung hatak so ako na gumawa hina nap koyung the best set up ng position ng distribution cam lag yan mo muna ng mark yung orig position ng cap para pag ganun padin ma babalik mo hope this will help you. so far yung sa akin tumino na same din tayo nag pagas lng ako nag kaganun na pero di gas ang problem.

    Sir I'm encountering the same problem with my car (toyota 1990 model 16 v/v), and I have done the same thing but still the problem exist. ano po kaya ang tamang solution sa problem na to. minsan ok ang idle tas bigla na lang mag sstall ang engine.

    What I did with my Corolla GL, same problems rin...
    Hardstarting, Unstable Idling, Mahina Hatak, Namamatayan lalo na pag e10 kinarga. . .

    1. Clean / Overhaul Carburetor
    2. Replace Fuel Filter
    3. Replace Gas Tank (Clean lang dapat kaso kinakalawang na yung sakin)

    ayun naayos naman lahat ng problema, xcs na pinapakarga ko ok parin
