October 23rd, 2009 06:09 PM #21Sir tama yun, kapag galing sa overnight park, malamig makina, dapat mataas muna rpm nun mga 1100 or 1200 tapos after a few minutes mga 2 mins sir dapat settle na sya sa 700-800 rpm, un ung spec rpm ng 4A-F eh. Tama din, hindi na gumagana ang choke mo, sa kin hindi din gumagana dati, pina-check ko lang din, inaayos ko lang yung connection nun choke, hindi ko alam kung tama ginawa ko pero umaayos na ng konti. try mo gawin to, ipa-start mo sa iba ung auto mo sa umaga habang check mo yung choke kung pumapalo, kelangan mo alisin muna yung air filter para makita mo yun, makikita mo na dapat sasara yung throttle plate pag cold start. usually electrical yung problema sa autochoke, pero like i said hindi ko kabisado ang choke system so trial and error lang
last, kung hot start naman, mean mainit na makina, dapat palo agad sa 700-800 rpm, pag ganun, means okay na yun, 90% malamang yung choke ang problema

October 24th, 2009 08:04 AM #22I agree that the problem is most likely with the automatic choke. As to my understanding if you car is properly warm up, everything goes to normal. The auto choke of the 1.6 GL is electrically turned on if you put the ignition switch on, it is an electro-mechanical device that closest or restrict air passage on the top of the carburator (remove air filter to see the plate that closes the primary barrel) this is done so as to increase the fuel delivery to the engine. An operational auto choke, function like this. Engine cold (choke plate close, almost horizontal position) start engine, as the engine gets warmer, the choke plate should start to open up, when the engine is properly warm-up, it should be open fully, the choke plate in vertical position. As of the E10 Gasoline, its effect would be most in the rubber hoses or rubber o-ring, rubber diagpharm of mechanical fuel pump, it would hasten its deterioration. But not much effect on the engine performance, anything 10% or lower alcohol would not cause a problem with a carburated engine.

October 27th, 2009 09:26 AM #23Sir, nung pinalinis ko carb ko, inaayos din nila yung auto choke kaso ang naging problema ang taas ng palo ng RPM pag start. It's like 2500 to 3000 rpm pag start mo sa umaga and then pag nagpark ako sa office so 8-5pm ulit na nakapark, pag start ko sa hapon, ganun ulit, sobrang taas na parang nahihirapan yung makita and it's for 2-3 mins bago mag normal. E parang malakas yun sa gas so pinacut ko na muna yung line ng auto choke. Meron po bang way para maadjust yung auto chole like 1000-1200 lang pag malamig pa makita. Kaya po ngayon, manual na pagpapainit na lang ginagawa ko. Binobomba ko muna ng 3 beses ang gas then half press ko sya saka ko start then bomba bomba muna ng konti tapos idle for 3-5 mins. Just want to ask like how much is it to replace a timing belt. I went to sheel station, and the shell mechanic told me it will cost me 5k-6k including labor. The mechanic has been working in that shell station for quite some time now, I should say more than 5 years. Just want to know your opinion.

December 6th, 2009 08:32 AM #25Sir ok na ba yung sasakyan mo? if hindi pa eto sir try niyo i have same problem with you sa car model. got that from my tito. yung una kng mekaniko replace yung sparkplg 4 tips bosch. same prob. linis carb same lipat ako mekaniko. even tha condenser yung maliit parang capasitor na nasa distribotion cap pinalitan same ang ginawa ng mikaniko yung mismung distribyosion cam nniluwagan yung tornilyo yung mis mung na kakapit sa makina ha then inadjust niya forward and back ward forward gaganda yung rpm mo kaso hihina yung hatak sa akin yung ganun ako na nag DIY try error sa akin kasi parang na sakal so ok yung idlng niya pero mahina yung hatak so ako na gumawa hina nap koyung the best set up ng position ng distribution cam lag yan mo muna ng mark yung orig position ng cap para pag ganun padin ma babalik mo hope this will help you. so far yung sa akin tumino na same din tayo nag pagas lng ako nag kaganun na pero di gas ang problem.

Hardstarting, Unstable Idling, Mahina Hatak, Namamatayan lalo na pag e10 kinarga. . .
1. Clean / Overhaul Carburetor
2. Replace Fuel Filter
3. Replace Gas Tank (Clean lang dapat kaso kinakalawang na yung sakin)
ayun naayos naman lahat ng problema, xcs na pinapakarga ko ok parin
