September 22nd, 2017 12:39 AM #4841Buying a brand new car soon, 2017 Altis is on the list. Do you think it's worth it to stretch a bit going from the G variant to acquire the V?
Other car on the list is 2018 City VX.

If you're going for the Altis V, might as well go for a Civic 1.8E. Much better car - looks better inside and out, feels more premium, better toys, better drive.
Between the City VX and Altis G, you have to decide whether you like toys (City) or size (Altis). The Altis is very basic in terms of features but it's still a more premium car over the City as it's more comfortable, and a class higher (compact vs subcompact).

September 23rd, 2017 03:25 AM #4844Thanks for the input, suddenly got more confused when I looked at the Civic 1.8E thought the price difference between it and the Altis was high apparently not so much. Have to take a look when I go around dealers soon. Hope FC not that far off from each other though.

To anyone who experienced selling their Altis, I humbly need your opinion;
My officemate (chinese expat) is very interested to buy my 2015 Altis 1.6G CVT for 700K.
This is nearly 3years used, I acquired it last Feb 2015 for 905,000 SRP. Its odometer reading is just 16,000KM, with bunch of upgrades I made:
1. Seatmate leatherette seatcover - 6.5K
2. Rhino lip - 2.2k
3. DRL - 6.5K
4. OEM spoiler - 5K
5. Mud guards - 1.8K
6. Rain visor - 1k
7. Bi-annual polish & sealant
Honestly, I have no plans of selling my Altis now, but it was an open option since I really like the new Civic + the excise tax pressure. It was my first car and first time to sell. He told me that he really wants to buy my altis coz he saw me how I take care of it. He's a bit pushy to buy it asap and finish the deal.
Question:
* Do you think this is a fair deal?
*** He will pay 300K upfront cash
*** 400K deferred payments within a year for 30K+/month.
* Who should shoulder the transfer of ownership expenses? Doc fees, etc.
* While I wait for him to finish all the payments, ofcourse I cannot transfer the name to him yet. Can we just produce a temporary deed of sale (notarized) for this? I am worried for any events that might happen when hes using the car (crime, disobeying traffic rules, etc). A contract that will waive all my responsibilities and condition of the car when I give it to him.
Thank you for any one who could enlighten me on this.

Nope. Not fair because I will NEVER sell my car on installment. Ano ako bangko? An officemate also offered the same for my car and I told him no way. I found a buyer who paid me in cold cash.
The transfer of ownership is shouldered by the buyer.
