is the solenoid replaceable, or is it hopelessly integrated with the compressor?

Integrated sa compressor as per all the shops we've checked. Didn't bother with the "repair" route since ala na time at baka di rin tumagal...

Ang mahal pala nung culprit ng aircon ko. Nangyari ulit twice nung isang araw. Nakastandby lang ako may inaantay around 30mins. Nawala bigla un lamig, hangin lang. tapos after 15mins naulit ulit na nawala un lamig.

28k dati? Ilan years ago na un sir? Most likely tumaas na price ngayon. For 10.5 gen pala un akin sir.

Good day mga altis owners. I'm planning to buy my first car (second hand) and I'm eying for an altis 1.6 G A/T hopefully year 2016. My siblings are telling me na mas fuel efficient and low maintenance daw ang vios 1.5 G.

Can you please enlighten me. Kasi may nababasa naman ako na fuel efficient din naman ang altis. The car would be used in city driving as my service to my office on a daily basis.

Hi, question lang. ano un possible reason regarding sa aircon pag minsan nawawala un lamig. Either patayin un aircon tapos buksan ulit or lakasan un aircon para bumalik un lamig. Salamat

Minsan unang bukas palang ng aircon wala ng lamig. Hangin lang. Pag sa traffic hindi naman humihina un lamig. Bigla lang talaga nawawala un lamig tapos hangin lang pero hindi naman araw araw nangyayari.

Compressor. For sure clutchless compressor na rin yung gamit ng aircon mo.

99% compressor problem nyan sir.

Around 28k bili namin dati bnew.. Add mo na labor, cleaning and filter/drier. Ready ka na 35k.

Clutchless type sya, Ung solenoid ang nagloloko dyan, sya nag aadjust nung compression ratio, ie turning ON and OFF ng compressor.

Kaya minsan, normal lamig, minsan wala, or minsan hilaw lamig.

Lowest quoted price din sa akin for my 10.5 Gen is still at 28k. That includes the Denso clutchless compressor plus all other materials and installation. Parang brand new na aircon system mo after. Medyo malayo lang sa akin ang place kaya sa Denso ko na rin napagawa at Php32k naman, all in na din.

Fortunately, the solenoid (compressor control valve/ solenoid daw tawag doon) is replaceable at mura pa. Unfortunately, napagawa ko na aircon ko at Php32k nga nung I was made aware of this simple and inexpensive solution.

Matagal din bago ko napagawa yung aircon ko since even after a 2nd and 3rd opinion... I feel na meron pang pwedeng gawin sa compressor kasi lumalamig pa rin naman in certain conditions. But after a 4th opinion, doon na ako nag-decide ipagawa. Kaya ang laking panghihinayang ko na tama nga pala ang kutob ko. I could have saved Php28k.

Sir same po ba clutchless compressor ang 10.5 at 11th gen? If yes, I might gamble on the 4k rather than spend 20k..

Napansin ko po na pumapasok yung amoy from the outside then pina check ko kanina sa aircon shop and sabi nila casa lang daw pwede gumawa nun dahil motor/ electronic na daw yung system ng altis. Hindi raw kasi totally sarado ung flap kaya baka sira yung mechanism sa loob. Pina check ko sa casa for estimate, 4k pull down dashboard then kung sira daw mechanism mga 11k + labor pa.

Meron po ba naka encounter sa inyo nito? and tama ba quote ng casa or meron po kayo alam na alternative?

How old is your Altis? Common defect yan aircon sa Altis. Baka pwede ipasok sa warranty? You are not the first person who had AC issues with the 11th gen

28 months palang. I asked the SA, hindi na raw covered. Nagulat lang din po ako na ayaw galawin ng ibang aircon shop.

Your SA is full of bull crap. What is the reason he said why it's not covered?!?! Because that should clearly be covered! Yung compressor ko nga 3 beses pinaltan and I did not pay a single centavo. That's not a wear and tear part naman I suggest you make a complaint at Toyota Philippines.
