Wait! I'm confused. Is this facelifted 2018 the 11th gen??? Kukuha pa lang sana ako tapos ito mababasa ko. Or baka naman isolated case lang to? Out of 10 ilan kaya may defective aircon??

its a 2011 corolla as per poster. any vehicle at that age meron at meron issues.

Around 28k bili namin dati bnew.. Add mo na labor, cleaning and filter/drier. Ready ka na 35k.

Clutchless type sya, Ung solenoid ang nagloloko dyan, sya nag aadjust nung compression ratio, ie turning ON and OFF ng compressor.

Kaya minsan, normal lamig, minsan wala, or minsan hilaw lamig.

is the solenoid replaceable, or is it hopelessly integrated with the compressor?

Ang mahal pala nung culprit ng aircon ko. Nangyari ulit twice nung isang araw. Nakastandby lang ako may inaantay around 30mins. Nawala bigla un lamig, hangin lang. tapos after 15mins naulit ulit na nawala un lamig.

28k dati? Ilan years ago na un sir? Most likely tumaas na price ngayon. For 10.5 gen pala un akin sir.

Possible na bearing lang, although sisirain din eventually compressor. The aircon shop should be abke to tell if your compressor is still okay. Encountered the same problem with a Jazz. Bearing replacement inclusive of labor is 6k. According to the mechanic, they reolaced a lot of those bearings sa vioses as well.

Based on the mechanic's explanation, me sira ang bearing to the point the intermittent ang pag kapit nya sa compressor. I actually check 4 aircon shops, yung isa compressor daw, the other one non commital gusto baklasin muna, the i have a common diagnosis na bearing so I proceeded with the repair. I think the lube (silicon oil) is more applicable sa clutch assemby ng mga radiator fans, which can also cause the same symptoms although mas consistent.
