Newbie here, been using my 2016 avanza E 1.3 AT for the past 7 months. No problems naman so far happy naman ako and no regrets. Mejo bitin lng sa power when i need it, also i feel bitin lang din sa shocks pati breaks. Fc 8.9 kml city driving. Will have first pms this month. I hope cheap lng ang maintenance.

I've been experiencing problems with our Avanza 2008 model every year. Last year we spent more than 70k total for the troubleshooting then ended up with overhaul.

Now, the aircon is not working. Toyota said we had to replace the magnetic clutch which cost 28k+ but the other shop gave a list of parts that need to be replaced but there's no magnetic clutch on the list with total cost of only 12k+. Obviously both have different diagnosis and I don't know which one should we go for.

Not sure if Toyota tried to check the basic problems like blockage in the airflow, aux fans and etc...

Our avanza also is shaking when idle or when in neutral mode. I'm just as much as possible trying to avoid another costly fix by toyota.

    List of problems;
    1. Shaking when Idle
    2. One window doesn't roll up or down
    3. Aircon is not working
    4. When running on uphill, it slides down.
    5. Small sticky rust forming inside the radiator

well... if you must know.. the avanza is a daihatsu with toyota tatoo.

28K kesos for magnetic clutch. ng aircon compressor?!!
dalhin nyo po sa banawe. wala pang 3K ang siningil sakin, nung nagpa-palit ako sa non-avanza car ko.

also, bilib pa ako sa aircon shops sa banawe. cheaper and "they seem to know what's wrong with the aircon". but we also have to be discernible, to differentiate the "must-replace" from the "replace before it fails" (because it may take several more years before it does fail).

...#4. it rolls back when going uphill!! horrors! sounds expensive...
    MT? baka clutch lang..
    AT? double horrors! $$$

You're right. That's why I want to go to the other shops who are experts in fixing air conditioning system. I'm in BOHOL. Oh my goodness are you sure it's double horrors for automatic transmission?

    Hello Po,

I just recently bought avanza and my challenge was the side mirror was manual. I am planning to change to an all power sana para hindi na ako palaging mag aadjust.

any idea if magkano po magagastos and saan ang marerecomend nyo na work shop?

    Salamat in advance.

if you are the only one driving the car, you may not really need power side mirrors, po.
i probably adjusted mine, less than 5 times since i bought it 4 years ago.

    Good day to all.

Ask ko lang po kung anong possible problem sa Avanza 1.5G ko, model 2010 po siya. No problem naman eversince, and satisfied owner po ako until my wife sends me a message na ang power windows, fan and aircon and signal lights ay ayaw ng mag work. All the rest ay ok naman including engine performance. Tried to gave them instruction to check fuses pero ok naman daw (but not sure kung may marunong mag check ng fuses).

Maliban sa mga fuse, ano pa kayang pweding sira niya? Wala akong regret sa Vanzi ko, FC niya sa highway up to 14 km/li.. at average 80km/hr, city not heavy traffic as Manila around 10km/li.

    Best regards,
    Jun
