The Owners Manual of the avanza only mentioned that the USB AUX port can be used for music devices in conjunction with the car stereo. What is not clear is if the USB AUX port can be used to power other USB devices like GPS navigators or cellphones.

Do you know if the USB AUX port of the new Avanza can power/charge GPS navigators without problem, rather than using the cigarette lighter socket?

Im planning to clean and lubricate the window mechanism of my Avanza 1.5G but i can not remove the interior cover of the door. Tangal ko na un screw sa may switch para sumara ang glass at screw sa interior lock handle pero ayaw parin matangal. Hanap pa ako ng screw pero wala na pwedeng luwagan.

Sino po ba dito ang nakasubok na tinangal ang cover na ito. Ayaw ko force baka may maputol ako na clip. Saan ba dapat unahin na tungkabin? Thanks in advance.

Magandang araw po. I have decided to sell my Avanza J 7-seater which I have acquired February 2011. My down payment was 139K and a monthly amortization of 11,770 for 5 years. As of today, the odometer reads 11,792. Add-ons are spoiler with third brake light, rain guard, alarm and central lock. Bali magkano po ba ang magiging presyo niya? Maraming salamat.

i have no experience with selling a car but if I am going to be the buyer, the price would be really really low.

48 months of amortization left (Php11,770) = Php564K (lots of money)

If I add the cash I would give you, say Php200K and add the total amount of monthly payments, the total money I'll spend is enough to buy a new model (Php764K).

I can just spend my Php200K as DP for a new unit and the rest of the money as my monthly amortization.

My point is don't expect to get a high buying price for your unit. Kumbaga, palugi mo talaga mabebenta.

Hindi ba mahirap i-sell yan kung naka-mortgage pa? Yung original na CR nyan nasa bank pa di ba? So marami pang aasikasuhin bago mo mai-transfer dun sa potential buyer. Usually sa ganitong situation, pinapasa lang sa kamag-anak (assuming me interesado talaga) para magtutuloy ng amortization. Of course, you may be able to get back your DP from them depende sa usapan nyo but then do not expect to get back everything. Sabi nga ni fourtheboys, palugi na yan.

that's good. i always thought it is easier to sell that unit to a friend or relative because they will understand your situation.

That's nice to know. While hindi mo mababawi lahat talaga, ang consolation mo na lang ay sa kaibigan o relative mo naman napunta.

Pwede mo na ba i-transfer ang ownership nyan? Actually, I almost got into the same situation. Kasi nung 2007 ako bumili ng Avanza at in less than a year, nakapag-work ako sa Singapore. So walang gumagamit ng car ko kaya naisip ko dati ibenta na lang. Kaso nga since naka-mortgage pa sa bank, medyo complicated. Eh wala naman akong kamag-anak noon na pwedeng sumalo kaya I end up keeping the car. Anyway, after 3 years bumalik na uli ako sa Pilipinas so nagagamit ko na uli ang Avanza ko ngayon. Matatapos na rin ako ngayong April 2012.

Actually, hindi naman talaga Toyota brand (i.e., TVSS) ang car alarm na ikakabit nila sa casa. Yung TVSS kasi exclusive lang sa high-end models ng mga Toyota cars. When I bought my Avanza 1.3J in 2007, sa casa ako nagpakabit ng spoiler at car alarm. Kasi nga me mga gagalawin sa electrical kaya I want to make sure hindi ma-void yung warranty. Tinanong ko kung pwedeng TVSS at sinabi sa kin na hindi pwede. So ordinary brand lang ng car alarm at central lock ang ikinabit. 7k yung car alarm at central lock na yun at that time. If you compare sa price sa labas halos doble siguro.
