Toyota Avanza Owners & Discussions [continued]

Hello * all!
I'm from Norway and I want to rent a car in South Africa, where I have the possibility to rent a Toyota Avanza.
I now have a question which I can not evaluate in my hometown since the Toyota Avanza is no available in Norway.
Could anybody of you who have a Toyota Avanza check how long the loading area is behind the drivers place, when the other seats are moved down?
How long is the distance from behind the drivers seat until the back? And could you aso measure the heigth and the width?
(We are 2 persons who have to transport also a modellairplane which is 2 m long. A little bit of the front top could be placed between the front seats in the car.)

the perception is that since it is the official repair shop of the manufacturer, the workers there know all there is to know about their car, the necessary tools, official (not replacement!) parts, everything. this is where car owners who know nothing about cars, can bring their cars for servicing. this is where car warranty requirements are done.
this is also the most expensive place to have your car serviced.

Hindi naman... karamihan kasi sa mga newbies eh wala ring alam o kakilalang talyer / mekaniko na pwede nilang
ipagka- tiwala ang kanilang mga sasakyan. Kapag may problema ang mga sasakyan nila, Instinct na rin siguro na ang
isasagot ng mga mapagtatanungan nila eh sabihing "dalhin mo na muna sa Casa bro. Mas magandang sila muna
ang tumingin..." Anyway, pagtagal naman eh makakakita rin ng trusted mechanic / talyer si newbie.
Kung lalaki si newbie, he'll surely learn about cars... pag babae kasi, mag- drive lang ang alam... Well, most of them.

Newbies must learn... gaya nga ng sabi ni Vin Diesel (if i remember it right):
"If you don't know the the right tools to use on your car, then you don't have the right to get near your car".

Guys quick question regarding 2013 avanza 1.3 J. Mababa po yung adjustment ng headlight ko. Nag try ako adjust sa headlight using screw driver tapos parang hibdi din naman nag babago. Ang nakalagay is L and R. Meaning left and right adjustment yun or meaning left and right ang pag pihit. Kasi hindi din nagbabago yung adjust sa left and right and up and down ng headlight ko. Mahirap kasi sa gabi parang mahina yung ilaw. Sana meron makatulong.

There are always two adjustment for the headlight. Yung sa passenger side are easy to reach. Yung sa driver side yung isa can be quite tricky.
Plus I think ginagamitan ito ng 8mm wrench.

power mangement basically. kahit na maiit ang makina, basta alam gamitin, kaya naman. unang una, dapat alam ang mga shifting points depende sa daan at load.

Nag sakay ako ng 8 na tao ok naman. Hindi ganun kabilis arangkada madami sakay. Siguro sa 1.5 or sa innova malakas.

Guys nahihirapan ako mag adjust ng ilaw sa avanza ko. Meron na ba naka try magpa adjust sa casa ng headlight? Ginalaw ko kasi dati. Akala ko up and down nagalaw ko. Left and right pala. Nawala na sa tama na setting.

HI mga ka-tsikot, i am a newbie on the site and a newbie on automotives. been lurking around kasi plan ko bumili ng first family car. gustong gusto ko sana yun mirage, kaso ayaw ni misis masikip daw, then we saw eto ngang avanza 2013. 7-seater sya and kasyang kasya lahat. eto lang po mga tanong ko:

- whats the difference po between the avanza 2013 j (lowest priced) dun sa ibang variants like E, G, etc. pasok kasi sa budget namin yun J ang worry ko lang is baka naman taxing taxi ang itsura, wala kasi ako makita pictures.
- may nagsabi rin sa akin na underpowered daw itong avanza na kesyo makina daw ng vios na nilagay sa big body. totoo po ba ito?
- kung kayo po papipillin mirage or avanza hehe nalilito na ako.
