i have an alien alarm system installed on my avanza. for whatever reason, i no longer hear a beep sound when i arm/disarm the car. mukhang may napindot ako sa remote kaya nagkaganun! ang problema, nawala ko ang car alarm manual ko. baka po merong may alarm ano dapat ko gawin? o baka meron diyang may ginintuang puso na makakapag provide sakin ng copy nung car alarm manual ?

Hello po sa mga owners ng avanza, i need your advice, im looking for a 2nd hand car budget 380k-450k choosing between avanza j 1.3, or revo sr 2.o / adventure 2.0 gas.

im considering to take the avanza, i wanna know why did you choose the avanza as well? what makes it your choice?

sabi nila may tendency daw mag roll ang avanza at high speeds, what specific speed are they talking about, at 100kph o more than like 130-150kph?

malakas pa ba ang 1.3? kahit puno ang avanza nyo with cargo? o na experience nyong hirap?

how many persons have you tried to fit in a avanza? is it true the 3rd row seat is cramp?

im planning to replace our family car (tamaraw fx '97 model) help po in making the decision thanks in advance

I choose the avanza for the good FC compared to myother choice.

Normaly 1 or 2 lang ang sakay, pero pag weekend labas with the while family plus yaya. Kung sedan, baka di magkasya.

Engine power. This 1.3 engine is as powerfull as a 1.6 carburated engine tapos mas matipid pa.

Nadala ko na sa Legaspi with 8 people on board plus stuff for 5 days trip. Pabalik ng laguna, 9 na ang sakay with more stuff.

Lahat naman ng matataas na center of gravity will roll if travelling at high speeds tapos biglang kabig. So far, I did not come close to tipping over at 120Kph. Evasive maneuver kasi may barrier sa gitna ng daan. Hindi nakita kaagad kas gabi.

Mababa ang gearing ng avanza. The purpose is to have the torque. Kaso mataas ang rev pag tumakbo ng hi speed. Sa baguio, daming avanza taxis. Sila talaga ang makapagsasabi kung gaano ka OK or not ang avanza pag loaded.

The 3rd row of the avanza is surprisingly less cramped than the innova. Kasya ang 3 adults sa 3rd row.

BTW, the avanza has 7 seatbelts with one of them a lapbelt.

Last week may nakawang malaking "K" sa avanza ko. naiwan kong nakabukas ang map light sa parking. mula 9:00 AM to about 8:00 PM. buti na lang, 1 click start kaagad. :D

Ewan alng kung ilan watts ang bulb ng map light. Pero ang init ang kalahati ng overhead console. mainit din kasi sa basement parking. Kulob.

SCTEX with 5 passengers * 110kph - wala naman problema
Akyat baba mula Camayan resort with 5 passengers (grabe ulan ng bagyo nung weekend ng July 18 dahil ke Typhoon Isang) - alalay *65-75kph (parang Initial D nga yung mga twists and turns dun ng gabi) walang problema ang Avanza - ganda nga ng handling eh.

Kasama ko bro-in-law ko, 4 sakay sa Innova 2.0, naiiwanan ko pa sa SCTEX. Mas maganda ang takbo pag me sakay eh - masa mabilis response IMHO.

You are welcome. But before buying, maganda kung ma test drive mo.

Kung bibili ka ng 2nd hand avanza, I think wala naman problem. Iyon lang sana hindi pa na nagkaroon ng major accident. Ang body kasi ng avanza absorbs the impact mula sa isang accident. Kahit na naisauli ng casa ang body sa original, iba pa rin ang hindi restored ang body.

Malamang casa maintain ang Avanza kung bibili ka ng 2nd hand. Maganda kung ma check mo ang record kung na maintain nga.

Lastly, test drive pa rin.

Yung 1.5 G, power windows; Yung 1.3 J, hindi. Yes 7 seater, w/ 7 seat belts. Foldable ang 2nd & 3rd row seats.

Ganon talaga ang bilis ng depreciation, kaya mas makakatipid ka kung 2nd hand nalang kunin mo bastat marunong ka lang tumingin, otherwise baka di mo alam yung car na nabili mo frankeinstein pala, lalo n kung mahilig ka sa SUVic

on 2nd hand Avanza vs Revo SR: They are both good car (I owned a revo SR before). konting dagdag lang sa 2nd Hand Revo SR model 2004 eh may bagong Avanza (1.3j) ka na. Avanza is only 3 years old. baka wala pa ang nagbebenta. Unless they are not satisfied with the performance.... Or baka may accidente na. Hope you find one without hassle later....

There are other related links when you open this site. SOme are talking about the 1.3J going for 170KPH. I think one member has tried this.
I only managed 165KPH so far. and i know i have some more to go.

Cramp space at the back? Hmmm I tried the innova and Fortuner. Not being biased and just being practical (price), parang mas comfortable ako sa avanza.......

By the way when you check the avanza youtube series, please don't forget to read the comments below the videos..... it will surely help you decide buying one.....

Wala pong record ang LTO sa mga accidents, AFAIK.

The best you can do regarding this, is to get the plate number, and the registration details, then google for them.

It was too late when I thought of doing this after I bought my Avanza G A/T, but so far, so good. Maganda naman at maayos ang pagkaka-restore nila sa nabangga nito. (Nakita ko sa isang provincial news website na naaksidente yung original owner. Before i bought it, I talked to her sister who said she didn't know why it is being sold after only 10 months, and that it had never figured in any accident. Now that I think about it, perhaps yung mismong owner yung kausap ko noon. :twak

Still, I have no regrets. Oks naman ang performance. :clap:

Hello sa mga Avanza owners! I have been reading this thread but i havn't finished it yet I so jumped to the last until I stumbled on avanza_84's post. I was surprised to see the RPM reaching almost 7000 rpm. ganito ba talaga ang rpm ng avanza? AFAIK 100kph is to around 2500rpm only.

I would appreciate very much if anyone would tell me the performance of the aircon at over 10k odometer reading. TIA

by the way i'm a fan of the avanza and hope to have one in the future.
