--> actually meron 1.4 Liter D4D ang toyota 4 years ago pa, crdi turbo na ito, something like ~110HP, ~220Nm torque.... very ideal sana to kung isasalpak sa avanza. kaso, sa europe lang inilalabas ng toyota iyun fitted sa toyota corolla at ibang modelo dun. hello toyota!

Yung Lite Ace na 64 horsepower nakakaakyat nga ng Baguio, ok na din siguro ang 60 hp Avanza to meet price and fuel economy targets.

according to this link dated Sept 6,

    http://business.inq7.net/money/colum...ticle_id=19192

And speaking of Toyota, the launching of the gas-miser Avanza MPV is still two months away but already the R&E and EMP taxi companies want to corner 1,000 units between the two of them.

Configured as a seven-seater, the 1.3-liter Avanza cab model will just seat five, with the rear bench seat ordered removed by the taxi licensing board to give way to a commodious luggage compartment.
so two things come to mind:

    1) mid November launch
    2) the first 2-3 months worth of production will be "pakyaw" by the taxi companies

I don't mind driving one and get flagged down, Boss Quiapo??

I get a fuel efficient car, get to fit 7 people, and still have a space for a sub at the back. Ndi naman ako kakarera eh.

What about the second row seats, I assume it is only the left side that can be folded up it will be a problem when you want to load passenger at the 3rd seats? It will be like having a surplus right had drive vehicle with a door always exposed to passing vehicles.

Wonder where they will put the lpg tank. Will they sacrifice the spare or the 3rd row seats?

It should be able to get up to baguio. Kung kaya ng 60hp liteace, dapat kaya din nito.

Firm price ba yung 763K for the 1.5 o speculation?

No space for subs at the back or anywhere else on this car. Maybe 8 inchers sa doors if you have a good installer.

Both 2nd row seats and 3rd row seat can be folded.

Yes, they can be folded flat....but the second row right side seat can not be folded upright.

Just to qoute a review from Malaysian forum:

"The only odd thing is that you can only flip up the seat on the left side as the one of the right won’t do that. So it seems like the model was conceived with righthand drive markets in mind."

for taxi/fleet i think they will remove the 3rd row for bigger compartment and for the lpg option, i think the law only permits 5 passenger for taxi exept for mega taxi.

I'm positive that the 2nd row seats can be folded. I did it with both left and right seats sa world of toyota.
