based on the Malaysian prices, this will cost 600k to 650k

the innova E costs 88,500 RM or 1.1M pesos vs about 900k for the innova E (manual) here.
the avanza costs 60,000 RM so if we follow the same scaling, it will cost 610k.

if it is sold for 610k then that's definitely a good buy. pero kung 650k.. medyo magiisip-isip ka na. matrix 1.5L CRDi VGT is about 700k and has a much better engine.

the avanza in malaysia is power everything. unlike the entry-level Innova J here.

if the avanza is power everything and sells for 650k, it will make credible competition for the suzuki APV.

but unlike Innova vs Tucson (the Innova actually looks half-decent), i think the APV would lose by comparison to the Avanza, even if it's CBU Japan and the Avanza is from Thailand. simply because, the APV looks bad.

actually kung ibenta yung avanza dito under 700k (i don't see why not, the spec is very similar to a vios 1.3E) i suspect it will outsell the innova, which is already the most popular vehicle sold locally. why? because it's cheaper. and, families can use it (7 seater) but it doesn't weigh a ton. I mean literally, the innova weighs half a ton more (1100kg avanza vs 1500kg innova). so mas matipid talaga yung avanza for families starting out.
