OT uli
yes....the last time Toyota did their car show was 4 years ago.....also at Le Pavilion. that was the time unang pinakita sa public yung Avanza...also naabutan din yata sya ng bagyong Milenyo yung car show

Insistent public demand has prompted Toyota Motor Philippines to bring in the new Toyota Alphard, which is designed to cater to Pinoys seeking a luxurious minivan experience.
“We brought in the Alphard because we’ve been receiving a lot of inquires from customers who’ve seen it in Hong Kong, Japan, and Thailand asking us when we’ll bring it in,” said Raymond Rodriguez, Toyota Philippines first vice president for vehicle sales operations.
The Alphard, named after the brightest star in the Hydra constellation, will be available in Toyota dealerships starting August 3. The van in Silver Metallic or Raven Black is priced at P2.79 million while the White Pearl variant costs P2.805 million (click here see how much our readers think the Alphard should cost in the Philippines).
As TopGear.com.ph earlier revealed, Toyota Motor Philippines is selling the 2.4-liter variant of the minivan that runs a maximum output of 167 horsepower and 227 Newton meters of torque on a four-speed automatic transmission.
Rodriguez said, however, that a 3.5-liter variant is also on its way.
“By September or October, we’ll have the 3.5-liter model available,” he told TopGear.com.ph, adding that the higher-spec’d variant should cost less than P3 million.
Luxurious touches on the new Alphard include large chrome-accented front grille, three-dimensional HID headlamps and LED taillights, chrome rear license plate garnish, rain sensors, electric motor-equipped doors for easy access to the van, twin moonroofs, and second-row captain seats with power ottoman.

Buti pa sana, wag muna yung 3.5L V6 variant. Why not bring a sports variant of the Alphard like this?
If there is one false move on the newly launched Alphard, I'll wait for NMPI or UMC to bring the Elgrand. It's worth the wait.
