I think this is for people who think that the Yaris is way too big for their taste.

Anyway, can the thread starter confirm this report? I highly doubt that they'll release the Aygo here in South East Asia due to its pricing.

The Aygo's 1-Liter 3 cylinder engine is reported to be from a Daihatsu! With the strengthening Peso to $ exchange, it would be indecent to price this car above P500K if this car is released here.

Let's compare the price of the Aygo's competitors:
(Note: only variants of a model in the same price range are included. Getz CRDi is not included due to its price.)

    Chevy Spark LS 1.0 M/T hatch = Php 495,000
    Chevy Spark LE 1.0 M/T hatch = Php 535,000
    Chevy Aveo 1.2 M/T hatch = Php 550,000
    Hyundai Getz 1.1 M/T = Php 488,000
    Hyundai Getz 1.4 M/T = Php 528,000
    Kia Picanto 1.1 M/T black bumper = Php 450,000 (2006 price)
    Kia Picanto 1.1 M/T colored bumper = Php 460,000 (2006 price)
    Kia Picanto 1.1 M/T LX Deluxe = Php 470,000 (2006 price)
    Kia Picanto 1.1 A/T LX Deluxe = Php 520,000 (2006 price)
    Suzuki Alto 0.8 M/T STD = Php 389,000
    Suzuki Alto 0.8 M/T DLX = Php 428,000

Toyota Phil should sell this somewhere bet. 470,000 to 495,000 , anything more then it would make more sense to get a 1.3li Vios.

Not likely to be a factor... the Aygo is a European product, built in Europe, so price may be fixed to the Euro.

The Peso is actually losing value against the Euro. We've been up and down against it over the past year.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

Ang mamahal, CBU ata lahat kasi!

Anyway, I believe the Philippine vehicle market is too small and insignificant, so I guess this European car may not reach our shores..
