In Thailand the Avanza is priced like a Vios and is slightly cheaper than the Suzuki APV...

Maybe Toyota thinks that the P1M+ Innova 2.5G deserves a more powerful engine. 3.0G?

Can anyone confirm this, I can't find any info on any Innova or Kijang Innova with a 3.0 engine.

i knew this is coming probably will become an Innova 3.0V, wala bang upgrade to a 2.7VVT-i din from the 2.0L VVT-i?

Tama. 160 hp is nothing to a car the size of the Innova. Heck, the power to weight ratio would only equal a 1.6 sedan. Of course, if Innova drivers start driving like they're driving a sedan... patay tayo diyan...

The Camry already has a 3 liter V6 gas engine. As a dedicated front driver, it's already very nose heavy. The same-platform Lexus ES300 is 61:39, so expect a 3.0 turbodiesel (if it ever comes) to be at around 65:35, which isn't bad as compared to other front drivers. My RS is around 62:38... many old V6s are 65:35.

Parang familiar yan Avanza sa akin... Eto pala yun nakita ko sa Malaysia last time i was there a month ago...

kung eto nga yung ilalagay nila sa Innova, tho less on technology, more power vs the 2.5 D-4D, assuming they don't detune it. interesting, a 1KZ-TE diesel innova can probably now run with a 3.0L D-4D fortuner, considering power to weight.

sa tingin ko 2.7 VVTI ilalabas na innova dito... tignan nyo sa wikipedia yung article about innova. sabi nila V variant ang top-of-the-line na variant. 2.7 VVTI engine nito.

Saw it on the newspaper today...
The new Innova V, features include dual airbags, ABS, leather seats and 2nd row captain's chairs...
Engine is probably the same as the other Innovas since they only mentioned D-4D and VVTi.
