just have it cleaned / underwashed. maybe check the carpets for any sign of floodwaters seeping in. can also have the brakes checked just in case any dirt/gunk got stuck between the break pads/break shoes.

don't use your parking brakes as you park at home if it's just minutes after wading deep flood waters, it could stuck if you left it engaged overnight or worst days after.
mag kalso ka na lang kung kinakailangan.

Actually instead of the engine oil, replacing the brake fluid seems more apt. It's not too expensive too.

I passed that flood yesterday too. Lagpas na sa height ng sidewalk yung baha. Also saw some cars wading through the flood. Dapat umatras na lang yung mga kotse.

pwedeng wala. kung may amoy pa-underwash ka lang.

ride your brakes (konting tapak sa brake habang umaandar) to get rid of rust on the brake disk/drum for maybe 30 seconds. do the same with the hand brakes, konting hila sa hand brake lever habang umaandar. those are the most i would do. yan e kung sipagin ako. otherwise wala. don't lose any sleep about it.

changing oil and fluids is too much in my opinion. kung maigsi lang at constant speed naman and hindi ka tumambay naka hinto. I lived in a flood prone area (thank goodness naka lipat na) where pag rainy season overnight kalahati ng gulong yung baha sa garage namen and wala kami magawa wala akong matinong tulog lagi nun haha

I agree... doing anything right now is too much...

As long as mag start the next day, I can see no problems...

I personally would try to look under the car, minsan kasi may plastic bags na sumasabit sa suspension after lumusong sa baha.

Just be careful in your first 2kms... minsan kasi (after overnight parking) kinakalawang yung brakes which could result to a longer stopping distance than usual (minsan naman iingay lang)

But if changing oils, fluids and having an under wash will help you sleep at night... Then go for it...

I honestly "might" bring the car to a battery shop to check if my alternator was damaged... Happened to my on a Corolla (big body) and FX before when the starter cables were submerged in water...

FX didn't start the next day...
Corolla started draining the battery a week later...

But for my cases, I could feel the flood water hitting underneath the car floor...
