Rampant pa rin ba ang D4-D choking/hard starting issues? I thought Toyota already resolve it by putting secondary fuel filters?

November 16th, 2011 04:44 PM #1183Bayaw ko ahente ko, meron pa din mangilan ilan na tumitirik, kahit less than a year pa. Its not the system daw, its a fuel related problem. Di lng daw sa scv ang nagiging problema minsan daw sa injectors din, which costs 20k each. Consumable daw yon.

November 17th, 2011 06:18 AM #1184One time, I experience na matirikan ako, brand new pa yung fort ko on that time, I'm going to aberdeen court in Quezon City, 2.5 G M/T variant, Dual A/C on, pag-akyat ko sa parking lot, 2 times na namatayan ako ng makina even i'm on the 1st. gear, nag-ba-vibrate yung makina, then lumapit sa akin yung isang boy, nag-instruct sya sa akin na try to switch-off yung A/C, then switch-off... don lang sya naka-akyat...is it normal also with the other unit or is it the reason why the other say that 2.5 variant is under power? how you can find it out if the unit is under power?

November 18th, 2011 12:16 AM #1185i have driven the 2.5d4d, di naman sya underpowered. bka breakin pa makina mo. My vvti performance improved around 6000 mileage Tumitirik din ako sa usual ramp.
0to100kph d4d wins but not so much
race to topspeed vvti is faster which.tops/at 185.

November 18th, 2011 08:20 AM #1187Share ko lang po, madalas kase ako magtravel to province and sa mga steep slopes na may break from rough road to cement, kelangan yung speed is very slow <5 km/h, parang semi-halt kase mas mataas yung semento kesa sa rough road. From first gear kaya naman, umaangat rpm niya until 2.5k to 3k rpm, nakakapag shift pa nga ako to second gear, lalo pang bibilis. so sa tingin ko ang 2.5 G ay hindi underpowered sa mga ganung instances lalo na parking ramp lang yan. By the way, the unit I drive is Hilux 4x2. Oh and by the way, yung thermostat ng aircon e nasa half, yung blower is a click higher from low.

November 18th, 2011 11:07 PM #1190Hi the problem there is the Fuel injector is clogged lang Toyota-Bicutan has Liqui Moly Diesel Purge to clean that. This saves you alot of money since you avoid breaking your injector and replacing a new one. Reason for clogging 1. Bad Fuel Quality 2. Normally small particles of fuel dries up on the tip of injector then nagccrust later on too thick na that your ECU will be pumping more fuel.
Toyota Saudia Arabia Sells 1.2 Million bottles of these in a year because of their bad fuel condition.
