Innova computer box issue

Ask ko lang po if na experience nyo na tumirik na lang bigla ang innova nyo then nung pinatingin namin eh computer box daw po sira, ito po ba ung issue sa innova?

actually sa friend ko po ung innova but im planning to get one as well kaso nakwento nya nga po sakin ung issue nya...innova j na dsl po ung sa kanya then di naman daw po nabaha, ride lang daw po sila along commonwealth then all of a sudden it just stopped so pina tow po nila tapos sabi nga sa casa eh computer box daw po but unfortunately 4 years na po ung car so di na covered nung warranty nila then they were quoted 150k for the repair

sobrang vague kasi yung "computer box" lang, mas maganda kung mas detailed ang sagot ng casa sa friend mo. tipong, computer box failed due to contaminated diesel, tapos may evidence nga na contaminated diesel. parang ganun

2008 model po sir and yes D4d engine po. Anu po ba ung d4d issue kasi marami din po nagsabi sakin na may recall nga daw po sa toyota nun ito po ba un..im planning to get innova din kasi kaso mejo napaisip ako dahil sa mga issue na sinasabi sakin..thanks

+1 kay sir CB, maganda nga 2nd opinion (and a little research) and dapat detailed explantion nga at hindi yung palit agad tapos sobrang mahal. Tapos hindi naman maayos pala. Talagang importante na mas mekaniko kang kakilala na alam mong hindi ka lang peperahan.

i think pag sinabi na ng casa na computer box ang sira,tapos na yung BOXING i mean kasi its an electronic item,pag ang electronic item nasira i think its impossible to repair it na like my nokia N70 bigla na lang nag ha hang andami ko ng shops pina check sabi nila board na daw ang sira la na daw pag asa.
i think the right question should be bakit kaya nasira agad yung computer box? like in my case sa cellphone ko parati kasi nahuhulog ng anak ko kaya nasira

Let's make it clear...computer box controls the sensor located in different parts of the car. So if the fuel is dirty, the computer box informs you that there is a problem on the fuel system...thus, the computer box monitors the performance of the fuel system. So how will the computer box become defective if it just monitoring??? "What is driving or supplying the computer box???" -- should be the question...because this is being affected by any malfunction in the system.

Ganyan nangyari sa lancer ko noon,
Sabi ng casa kilangan palitan ang ecu,
Pero pwede daw nila marepair,
So kung pwede ma repair, ako nalang.
Indeed may sirang parts nga sa ecu, naayos ko naman.
Walang probs sa external,
Sa Innova, ganoon ba talaga ang price ng 4years old na ecu, 150k?
sobrang mahal yata, baka di lang ang ecu ang may probs.

tanong ko lang sana if ma start ba ulit ang innova mo sir? musta ang electrical system nya? (headlight, wiper, etc....) na ooperate po ba mga to?

oo nga naman kung monitor lang ang trabaho ng computer box hindi dapat hihinto yung makina,hindi kaya sir may iba pang use ang computer box,like for instance maaring it controls the timming or the engine itslef

computer box(CB) accept data from sensors, not controlling it and drives or give command or control all the the injector, spark plug thru ignition coil, servos(actuator/pumps), etc.
when CB totaly malfunction, same as our brain, equals patay eto.
Pwede marepair ang CB, pwede din mapalitan ang stock program...

nung pina-tow po ba sa casa agad dinala? kung hindi D4D bug nga yan.

kasi may modus operandi din sa tow companies pag na impound, pinapalitan nila ng defective ECU yung saksakyan...kaya ingat sa mga

towing companies markahan nyo muna ECU nyo pag iniwan...

computer box? this is a first for me. never had a similar problem with my d4d, since 2005.
but i do believe that the casa people do not repair.. they replace. even if it can be repaired, they still replace. i guess this is to avoid backjobs. also good for business.
