as for mine, it was a real disaster. boost valve that needs an air push was getting an air pull instead. though we have lot's of townace displayed in our shop to refer, but they are different from ours . infact I do get confused with Japan surplus because they all looked different from each other. a 2c-t might not look like the same 2c-t next year.
anyways, I found on the net this "Wouter's page : Land-Rover Engine Choice"
http://retro.co.za/lr/tech/engines.html
he suggested 2 or 3C-T, 2L-T for a Land-Rover. the page also has some engine power specs info.

btw, sir Yum, is your 2c-te have an intercooler turbo and airscope? 2c-te engine is quite rare.

nope, water and oil-cooled electronic-controlled turbo (di siya nag-boboost kung naka stop (p or n) the todo ko ung rpm.....madaming mekaniko nagugulat, lalo na ung familiar sa 2c-t na pinapalit sa fx....
one time nga nung nagpagawa ako, 2 kaming jdm liteace dun parehong 4wd, fxv ung akin, gxl ung kanya...sa interior palang, lamang na ako... pero surprising kasi, di kami pareho pagdating sa engine bay..maspuno at cramped ung akin..hirap nga magstencil ng motor #...kaya di ito agad magsstart ng engine if its not cool enough...
so i suspect 2c-te ang mga fxv grade (top-of-the line)...mixed siya ng ecu controlled mechanical system...hoses and sensors...mahrap magsabi ng malaking sira,e un pala, sensor lang...

actually, you cannot tell na the difference pag katay na...its identical to any 2c-t but may konting differences, including dapat may ecu yan..pero di na nila sinsama,e...pero once nasa fx na, bypass na lahat ng engine management...
may diagnostics port nga din pala liteace ko..madali sana magtrouble shoot, pero wala me software and equiptment na alama meron for this..

question lang guys, ano ang stock engine ng diesel fed na tamaraw fx?
we have a gas fed FX. 1.5L lang ata ito. sobrang lakas sa gas at mabagal pa. we (office) hardly use it anymore kasi malakas sa gas. and madalas nalang gamitin e hilander kasi mas matipid. nagagamit lang FX pang coding. sayang naman. would it be advisable to swap it to a diesel engine? kung 20-30K ang 2c-t, mag kano aabutin sa labor and other services pa?

Better if you just sell it and add the extra money to buy a diesel version. Mga 50k+ ang conversion (guess-timate... depends on the cost of the engine...) at di ka pa sigurado kung gagana...
Whereas, if you just sell and buy another diesel AUV, you can test-drive and inspect the unit you will buy to replace it. Mas sigurado.
Ang pagbalik ng comeback...
