Help! Toyota liteace 1991 can hardly climb steeped hills!

baka need lang ng tune up baka kasi kapos sa gasolina during climb... yung suzuki van ko 3cylinders 660cc engine kayang kaya pumanik sa tagaytay highlands at kahit saan na matarik na parking.. take note 3 cylinder 660cc lang makina nyan eh konti lang ang laki ng lite ace sa multicab

High speed ang differential ng Liteace kaya mahina sa akyatan na matarik kung gusto mo talagang lumakas ang hatak sa arangkada at akyatan palitan mo ng low speed na differential o gearing nito . Iyon ang pagkakaalam ko sa lite ace itong makina ko na 5K na Toyota Low speed ang differential kahit puno o sobra pa malakas sa arangkada at akyatan ginagamit ko itong pang deliver ng mga goods na mabibigat.

Sir, na-curious ako dito ah. Kase ang alam ko low speed ang alam ng mga lite ace owners sa sasakyan namin.
O baka naman relatively comparing sa ride nyo, mas lower speed pa yung sa inyo.
Pero alam ko, compared sa toyota sedans, mas lower speed and lite ace.
Meaning, umiiyak na ang makina sa 5th gear, di pa nakaabot sa 100kph.

May lite ace din family ko.
Ano ba driving conditions? Kargado at naka aircon ba?
Mahihirapan talaga yan pag masyado matarik.
Lumalakas ba hatak pag pinatay aircon?

Kung clutch problem, dapat pansin mo din yan kahit hindi paakyat.
Nararamdaman din yan sa mga biglang arangkada.

I-suggest, have the engine completely tuned up first.
Kung di nyo pa nagawa to.
Spark plugs, distributor, karburador.
You'll be surprised ang laki ng epekto sa hatak pag mali ang "advance" setting sa distributor.

I concur with this suggestion. Owner din ang family namin ng 1991 model liteace. Palagi din kami nagpapa tune up at palit ng spark plugs para gumanda ang hatak.

Hello everyone! I'm just new here. I need help...

We just recently bought toyota liteace 1991. ang problema ay hirap itong umakyat pag matarik? what seems to be the problem? anong dapat gawin?

97' model liteace owner here. I've tried climbing fully loaded sa tagaytay at di nman hirap. Nasa pagaalaga at condition ng makina rin kce.. (IMO)
here are the things i do to make sure ok ang condition ng engine ko:

1. Change oil every 5k miles (sometimes before mag 5k or pwede din every 3months)

2. Make sure carburator ay well maintained ( every 5k-10k miles linis nung akin)

3. Make sure Fuel and air filter ay malinis (kung kailangan ng palitan palitan)

4. I used titanium spark plugs and high tension wires

5. Every 6 or 12 months radiator overhaul maintenance (for me)

Ilan lang yan sa mga maintenance check list ko to make sure na ok ang takbo ng ride ko

Actually, mas enjoy ko gamitin ang liteace kesa kotse. bukod sa kita mo lahat pag nagda-drive ka, masarap din pag passenger ka lang na nakaupo sa likod. i feel relaxed. naitataas mga paa eh. hehe.

kayang kaya 'yan ng well-maintained liteace. i've done very steep inclines with a full load. once, it was steep enough for my friend's vios e to slip occasionally (yup, vios is fwd, but it's that steep). if you've driven to palm beach in bo. hugom batangas, after bo. laiya, then you know what i mean. i guess the 185/70-13 tires helped.

kaya iyan basta well maintained. pero malamang may fault na rin ang sliding clutch sigurado. but aside from that..

my suggestions would be a full tune up.

change oil
spark plugs
fuel filter
clean carb
change carb air filter
