Front fogs were SRP Php2k from Maizone

We just wired the front and the rears to illuminate at the same time and reminded owner to exercise prudence when using additional lighting systems on the vehicle.

A ready made LED rear bumper lamp kit is available for around Php3500.00. Ask Jemson. Made in Taiwan also, I think.

Brand is Fog Ray I think. Same one we put in the Hiace Commuter ambulance. It won't set your pants on fire or burn holes in your retina, but it's ok. Makes the front end look more 'complete'. Set is also plug and play with complete parts including switch and harness. And yes, other retailers will sell it to you for around Php2,500-3k so it pays to shop around.

Switch is rectangle switch that fits on the switch blank on the left of the power mirror controls or on the side of the parking brake.

Yep. H11 bulbs. I think Vinj has the same set on his Altis? Not sure lang. Kasabay ko siya bumili nung para sa ambulance.

Yung LED ng rear fogs, sa Raon ko binili. Mas mahal sa Banawe pero siguro price of convenience na lang.

Kaya yun. Ginagawa niya sa Montero Sport.

Isa pang popular mod na ginagawa nila is 'Poor Man's Optitron'. Palit ng LED bulbs yung gauge cluster and automatic iilaw once you put the key in the ON position. So kahit anong oras naka-ilaw ang cluster. hehe. I don't really recommend it but some people want the mod and I have nothing against it either (except if those people now forget to turn on their headlamps).

Anyways, the climate control switches won't light up until you twist the stalk switch so there is still a reminder.

Sa pagbabasa ko nung 'extended owner's manual' na yun hindi ko nakita kung paano pailawin yung FFL indicator. Ang closest I got lang was parang kapag may relay, then binuksan mo yung fogs, automatic na na iilaw yung FFL indicator. Parang ganyan haha hirap explain.

Thanks to this thread the dashlamp is next on our list. Hehe. Sorry to purists, afaik, jemson will run a new wire from the switch to the dash lamp to make it illuminate. You might also need the bulb which is easy enough to source.

Ok naman fogray dun sa hiace, sana dito din. Relay? I didnt see if there was one in the box. But i would think they did since it is supposed to contain everything needed to make it work. Just requested jemson to make it work only with the park lamps on just like the real deal.

Maizone for parts, jemson for install. Your haggling skills may vary. Sabi nila mas mura daw pag buena mano so baka mas ok pumunta ng umaga? Superstition daw kasi nila makabenta as early as possible kahit walang tubo sa unang sale.

Ang sabi kasi sakin nung isang taga Vios Club, may abang na raw yung indicator ng fogs nasa bandang flooring daw. Kumbaga parang icconnect mo na lang dun, no need to baklas the instrument panel. So chineck ko naman pero the wires were taped and sinilip ko further, they were leading to the driver's door naman. Rey's electrical of Marikina can do it daw kaso ang layo kasi sakin. The same guy also told me that 2008-2010 Vios have this FFL indicator, while 2011 above does not. I don't know if this is true. Basta yung sa amin na 08 model sinilip ko ng maigi yung instrument panel and meron talaga syang icon for front and rear fogs. Meron pa ngang isa na parang headlight leveling, I'm just not sure.

Naka front fogs na yung vios guinea pig namin. Sabay nung kinabit sa homemade rear lamp and pinagsabay ko na muna switch. Yung cluster lamp na lang papailawin namin. Will tell you how it goes. Medyo busy kasi vios owner kaya slow progress. Hehe.

Also found silver backing sensors and put that in also.
