Update: I think it's bright enough. My problem is the lens and the interior of the dummy light are both smooth with no matrix or waffling that acts as a light diffuser. The matrix is the reason why light looks evenly spread on OEM taillights. On clear taillamps, the matrix is on the interior of the housing. Our plan is to use white 3M reflector tape (the one with hexagonal matrix) and stick in on the interior then place the LED sheet on top.

    Current progress:

Yep.

If anyone has other cost effective ideas, do chime in now while the lamp is still open. Hehe

Try mo yung kay Tsikeselog na isa pang LED strip or maybe ibang pattern ng LED strip along with some reflectorized tape.

Square LED 'modules' (4LED's per module). We used six modules:

Haven't tried it at night. We will try it on the Vios tomorrow.

Haven't seen it in on the vehicle. But during bench testing at night, ok naman. Unless you are willing to fork the 3000 peso price difference vs the commercially available lamp. Hehe. And in the phot, the taillamps are already tured on so you will have a relative scale of the brightness of the bumper lamp. I'm not exactly the world's best photographer.

Matagal tagal pa ulit maiikot dito yung vios, iba ang area niya.

Not bad at all! Ok naman pagkareseal nila? AFAIK wala dapat heat issues with LED compared to 35w or 55w H3 commonly used dyan.

Mali ata. H3 is used for front fog lamps. Not rears. If h3 bulbs were to be used for rear fogs, bulag nasa likod and I'm sure there will be heat issues.
