They used to have a 1.8 engine on the 3rd gen Altis before if Im not mistaken.... they should have considered using that on the Rush instead. Would have made a big difference.

my guess is,
even if they replace the front badges,
toyota is still toyota, and daihatsu is still daihatsu.

Just recently found out Toyota's also offering the RUSH in South Africa... and same as here the Toyota badge proves yet again that regardless of all the negatives, and segment competition, it is still a hot selling banana.

Nice review. It does have Android Auto and Apple Car Play. But Toyota PH sucks as usual.

At 4:23, "it's no rush to drive...". Oh the pun and irony of it!

I saw another South African review earlier that also complained of the loud engine noise at highway cruising speeds. Something like 3,600 rpm at 120 kph.

Edit: The review I saw earlier is what TheUninvited posted.

I suppose it's like the Avanza = some engine and transmission whine permeates inside the cabin when your speed exceeds 60kph.

I agree cause Im sure you want to use it on family trips, so that can be anywhere between 3-7 people right? pano kung puno ka ng pasahero and matarik na paakyat pa? plus traffic pa? kakayanin kaya ng Rush yun?
