Hi Guys! Have seen the Avanza 1.3E & 1.5G in Toyota Pampanga last Saturday.

for 1.3E - has power windows & locks; no foglights & side mirror control; same stereo with the previous 1.5G but w/USB; side mirror design same with the G;

for 1.5G - all power including the side mirrors; sunglass holder in front; integrated stereo; aux usb near the stick; better mags than the E (of course); audio control at the steering wheel;

the new avanza's rear door can be opened just like the innova's. no need for the driver side trunk lever from the previous model. the rear seat's back rest (don't know what they call this) can now be folded 50/50 but the whole seat is still folded forward. not sideways like the innova.

i think the new avanza will sell more for the coming years since they've introduced the 1.3E at P703,000.

as I see it, 2012 1.3E = previous 1.5G while the 2012 1.5E = way better!

Finally may door handle na to open the rear tailgate!

On older models, you have to go to the driver's seat to hit the release switch. Not very practical. now the tailgate locks and unlocks with the rest of the doors.

Unfortunately, the dashboard still has to be removed in case the a/c needs to be serviced.

I also checked out the Avanza there last Sat.

I find the a/c dials kinda cheap and flimsy. But overall, the design is a big departure from the first gen Avanza. How it would have been nice if Toyota equipped it with a 6-speed m/t.

With that engine, a 5-speed MT would be better imo.

Generally, FC of AT is more than MT. But I think the difference is just minimal.

parang yung mga first batch ng innova/hilux/fortuner dito sa atin. RHD configuration din yun radio hehe

sa city driving super trapik short distance, i'm getting 7kms/liter.. sa highway driving above 10kms/liter..

I don't see the cigarette lighter socket in the picture.. Talaga bang wala na? Pano mo maiplug mga devices like GPS kung gayon?

G ata nasa pic. The USB and aux ports are under the square cover sa may shifter. If similar sa Vios the lighter socket should be near the handbrake.

bakit yung aircon dyan sa pic eh dial pa din.. diba knob na sya ngayon??

tsaka bakit 2 lang yung knob.. yung isa sa A/C thermostat tapos yung isa sa VENT circulation.. wala nang FAN?
