All New 2013 Toyota Vios (3rd Gen)

i do not know what type of valve lifters the vios uses.
but in some hydraulic valve lifters, the oil sometimes drains from them, and the engine is rough for many seconds, until the lifters fill up with oil again.

one other possibility, might be the idle up circuit.

sa dami ng vios users, you are the first complainant i have read about, mentioning these symptoms. i suspect there is something unique with your car...

Weird nga po eto issue na-encounter namin. Ang mahirap ngayon sir is hindi consistent na nangyayari yun issue.

Like nun December 2016, iniwan namin yun Vios for about 3 weeks (long vacation) without any engine start-up. Hindi nag-occur yun problem dun nun ginamit na namin ulit yun car.

So currently, nakakalito parin kung ano cause nun problem.

tanong lang mga maam/sir, bakit po yung head unit ng vios trd 1million edition ko eh palaging nag cacalibrate yung touchscreen everytime na bubuksan ko ito, khit manual turnoff sa head unit o patyin sa ignition kya everytime na gagamit ako ng radio pgkapasok ng kotse ko o start ang kotse ko eh calibrate na naman.

2nd hand ko lng kc sir nabili ito, sbi ng dating owner eh bgla nlng nagkaganun. pati ung navigation hindi na nagana, dati naman nahihiram ko na itong vios na ito, ok naman lahat pati navigation. ayoko naman dalhin sa casa kc baka singilin lang ako ng malaki sa pagconsult pa lang. tska functional naman lahat maliban lang talaga dun sa palaging nagcacalibrate once na pinatay ko na yung head unit at yung navigation nya

d ko din sure sir kasi, kung sakali eh transferrable ba sa bagong owner yung warranty, wala na kasi yung datng owner nagmigrate na sa ibang bansa, ako na lang nagtutuloy ng hulog sa banko.

Pwede yan basta wala pang tatlong taon yung oto o di kaya wala syang modification na ginawa sa electrical o wiring ng kotse dati. Kaya kung may warranty pa, dalhin mo na lang sa casa para maayos nila yung hu at tiyak walang sisingilin sayo.

d ko pa po nasubukan, kaso baka may ibang maglokong pyesa naman gaya ng efi nya sir? d naman kaya? kagagaling ko lang kahapon sir sa casa, kelangan pa dw ipaevaluation yung sasakyan then may bayad daw yung diagnostic, 1800 dw. pra dw malaman kung cover pa daw ng warranty kc di nasunod ng dating owner yung PMS ng kotse, mukhang sa labas yata nagpapachange oil.

ilang beses ko na din kc i-reset to default setting yung HU kaso ganun pa din, d ko na pnagawa sa casa kc d naman ganun kalaki yung issue. kumbaga check up pa lang eh 1,800 na.

Anung model ba ang vios na yan? Try mo pumunta sa winterpine at pa-check mo sa kanila. Baka kaya nilang makita at maayos ang problem ng hu mo.

My son lost spare key (not keyless/remote)... nahulog sa Canal ;-)

Can I just duplicate it? like an ordinary key...

or may transponder na chip inside pa yun?

Parang wala naman kasi?... I still have the keyless module.

Just point me to the right direction... hope its a cheap fix ;-)

if it's the ordinary key that got lost, then it's just an ordinary key, po. no issues sa xerox-an ng susi.

parang wala naman... hopefully the cheap duplicate is enough.

Else, it will open the doors but cant start the engine

in some cars, the alarm is canceled when the lock is opened using the ordinary key.
if this is your case...

Ang pagkakaalam ko, meron chip yung duplicate keys natin na provided ng toyota, from E to G variant (yung meron built in toyota alarm), not sure Kung same sa mga latest models.

Try mo to. Arm mo alarm using the remote key. Ilayo mo yung remote key (at least around 5M) from the car. unlock the door by inserting the duplicate key provided by toyota sa keyhole and open the door. This will set off the alarm. Using the duplicate key provided by toyota, start the car (you will notice that the car will start and will turn off the alarm at the same time. This I've tried, kaya tinuro ko Kay utol to just in case wala ako and dala ko remote key and meron emergency, pwede Nya gamitin yung duplicate key para magamit si Vios E). Ngayon, do the same (make sure that the remote key and duplicate key provided by toyota is at least 5M away from the car), but instead of using the duplicate key provided by toyota to open the door and start the car, gamitin mo yung duplicate na pinagawa mo...will it start the car and turn off the engine? If yes, ibig sabihin linoloko Lang tyo ng toyota, kasi parang nabasa ko to sa manual dati [emoji23][emoji16]
