Thought I posted this here... sa Wigo thread pala. Anyway:
Calibrated the on-board economy gauge against two full tanks, within 1-2% naman accurate (sometimes shows lower economy than what you actually get, sometimes a bit higher).
This trip was about 20 kms highway, 15 kms EDSA, 5 kms local roads. So about 50-50 city highway. The car was doing 25 or more on the highway.
Vios 1.5G MT.
Buuuut: Extreme fuel saving. 60 km/h on the highway, but I allowed the car to speed up to 90 km/h on the downhill portions of the SLEX. Had the AC compressor off 95% of the time. Used the blower only. Turned the compressor on every three or four minutes for just twenty seconds or so, then off again. Didn't sweat like a pig, but my brow did get a bit damp.
Took Nichols Plaza B, because NOBODY uses the Truck Lane there, and you can coast downhill to the gate. Afterwards, stuck to the rightmost lane at Magallanes, the new one that nobody drives on.
On EDSA, I did 60 km/h where I could, but slowed down to 40-50 km/h depending on traffic. Stuck to the middle right lane, because everybody was crowding the left lane. Sailed on by a bunch of cars that overtook me after the Magallanes interchange. Suckers.
Not the way you want to drive everyday, but at least you know the 1.5G can do the numbers.

Normal mixed driving, 12-16 km/l. Highway about 18 km/l at 80 km/h. Not great (because the Fiesta can do that with the automatic), but not terrible.Last edited by niky; March 12th, 2014 at 04:02 PM.

3M Color Stable series are all above 50% TSER. RFID readable through the tint, stays good for...
What's the best car tint brand and color?
