Yes given na yung E is 1.3 And G is 1.5

Aside dun exterior and interior difference.

1.5G goodies missing in the 1.3E:

rear wheel disc brakes
projector headlamps
side mirror turn signal lamps
6 speakers versus 4
trunk & radiator grill chrome garnish (1.3E's body color is better IMO)

i do not think they will be introducing a new variant next year, if that's what you are wondering.
i do hope that they will have de-bugged the vios by then.. ang daming quality issues dito sa threads..

kung minor model change siguro mid to late 2015 po ito since normally ginagawa to 2yrs after release. (jun or July 2013 narelease so gen3)

kung discounts/promos po ang general assumption po ay better pag Dec lalu na same mga SA name naghahabol ng quota (please correct me if I am wrong)

another factor din po is budget. if you can delay your purchase to have a higher DP (lower monthly amortization) or even buy in cash, then better to delay your purchase.

in my case when we bought our VIOS 1.3 E AT last Oct 2013 I was set to buy if discount is 30K but am asking 50K from my SA. she gave me 40K so I grabbed it. di masyadong issue budget since company subsidized naman.

after almost 1 year no issue naman except the blinking issue. will report it at 10K pms this oct.

overall i am very satisfied.

sabi ng pinsan ko nagwwork sa autoshop, karamihan daw puro toyota ang pinapaayos. sabi nya kung umiilaw daw yun kapg 120kph pataas, normal lang daw yun prang warning daw un as overspeeding kc nkaprogram lng yung kotse sa 120kph, kung hindi daw dahil dun malamang nirerecognize ng scanner ng kotse yung remote key natin, ang problema daw is kpg umilaw na tlga yung lock habang naka insert yung remote key, hindi na daw natin ma sstart yun....

it's a different indicator that blinks if you reach 120. and based on the posts of some of us here it really makes sense that the ECU is the culprit.
Just want to emphasize here that the blinking doesn't affect the car's performance. It's just quite distracting seeing a blink on your panel once in a while.

Wala naman engine immobilizer ang vios, kahit G pa. Remote key is for keyless entry and door alarm.

agree, as long as performance and safety is not compromised I can live with this glitch. but if casa will address this for free, then better.

as I've mentioned I am very satisfied and is strongly recommending it to someone's shortlist

no regular route po kasi since weekend car lang sya. minsan din 1 hour lang stationary with aircon on kasi tulog si baby habang nasa mall.

driving habits siguro slightly agressive

lowest 9.9km/l - calamba traffic
best 13.5km/l - 600 km Quezon trip with 60km rough road

ok ... pareho tayo sir sa BGC Toyota ... kaninang umaga ko lang pinasok at sa friday ko makukuha, pero hindi ko alam kung lubrication ang gagawin, kasi ang sabi sa akin sa friday ko makukuha at merong papalitan daw ... sino ba mga SA nyo baka pareho lang tayo ...

anong pinacheck mo sir? SA #1. john cortez. sau sir? wala naman nagbago sa ginawa nilang lubrication sa oto ko.

And for the mods, After some long pondering, decided to join the mag wheels bandwagon. Nagpunta ako ng gcomet tire shop sa San Pedro, pero wala na sila stock nung gusto ko mags. Sayang, kasi they gave me a good deal (c/o tsikoteer and fellow VIOS owner harryacay). I had to go back to Alabang and went to dub shop and settled for the TRD wheels. Presenting, my vios.



TRD Mag wheels c/o dub shop alabang (would have gotten a cheaper deal at G comet San Pedro, pero Di kasi available), while chrome accents (lower window frame, lower door edge, hood lip chrome, front grille and fog lamp accent at madami pang iba, 😀) courtesy of MHV nodagal (saw his adds at FB).

Aw, how unfortunate. Claim na Lang sa insurance, but you will need to shoulder the participation fee. Ano insurance mo? Kung people's, Naka promo sila ngayon, 2k na Lang participation fee nila.
