The next-gen Innova hybrid is likely to be called the Innova Zenix in South East Asian markets. The Indian version is likely to use the ‘HyCross’ suffix.
The new Innova will be solely offered with a petrol engine. In Indonesia, the MPV might be offered in five variants – G, G Hybrid, V, V Hybrid and Q Hybrid. In terms of features, the car is rumoured to get Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), a sunroof, ventilated seats, reclining captain seats and wireless charging.
In India, the Innova HyCross is expected to use a localized version of the Toyota Hybrid System II. Unlike the current model, it will be based on a monocoque with a front-wheel drive layout.

September 9th, 2022 01:33 PM #22In India, the Innova HyCross is expected to use a localized version of the Toyota Hybrid System II. Unlike the current model, it will be based on a monocoque with a front-wheel drive layout.
This was conveyed by an internal Toyota source. According to him, the latest generation of Kijang Innova will be available in five types, namely G gasoline, G hybrid, V gasoline, V hybrid, and Q hybrid.
Indeed, in this latest version, the hybrid engine will be the "successor" of the existing diesel engine from the previous Innova. Meanwhile, the existing model is reportedly still being produced in the form of a manual G type with gasoline and diesel engines, but specifically for fleet consumers.
