Its a start, and we hope that as a market leader in sales it will be able to force other manufacturers to bring in their units with the added safety features.
For the past 3-4 months several new cars (Rush/Expander/Santana/etc) came out yet its only the toyota that has all these safety features in all the new cars they brought it.
i think toyota could have taken some safety features out in their base J models but didn't. Maybe its due to profit but at least it will make most of its buyers appreciate the added safety benefit.
BTW i am not a toyota fan boy, but they get a lot of flak for selling underspec car/suv. Hope this will continue on with all their future models.

All new cars going forward will have more or less the same safety features if they want to get a 5-star rating since safety assist features now account for 25% of the total score and a car cannot get a 5-star rating if it does not score at least 60% in the safety assist domain.

For example, perfect scores in the adult (50% weight) and child (25% weight) occupant protection domains cannot merit a 5-star rating, even if the total score meets the 5-star score of 75%, if the safety assist domain does not at least score 15% (60% of the safety domain's 25% weight in the overall score). The required minimums in all three domains ensure that no car gets an overall high star rating by being mediocre in any of the three domains.

    Naisip ko lang...

The new Vios is under the CARS program.

So instead of lowering the price... Toyota is giving the safety features as a standard?

    2018 vios..
