I doubt. Operators normally disable airbags. With the way their drivers are driving, lagi pumuputok airbags ang nasisira ang interiors...

Learned this from a few taxi fleet owners

Interiors still the same. I don't like the new front design. The rear is definitely better but the front is a downgrade for me.

At least buyers will still get the knee airbag...

2020 Toyota Vios XLE, XE, J, Base will only have 3 airbags | Autoindustriya

Toyota has just introduced the new Vios 1.3 XLE; a new mid-range variant that pretty much retains the same features of the Vios 1.3 E such as the option for either a 5-speed manual or a CVT as well as the touchscreen head unit with Android Auto and Apple Carplay, but omits 4 of the 7 airbags that all versions of the Vios used to get.
2020 versions of the Vios 1.3 XE, the Vios 1.3 J, as well as the “taxi-spec” Vios 1.3 Base will all have 3 airbags like the XLE instead of 7 as they had previously.

Down from 7 to 3 aibags but at a 10k price increase.
Buti na lang di nila naisip na gayahin HARI with no airbag.

I guess, facelift gen vios are starting to sell well after a slow start. No need to entice buyers.

Bad move by Toyota PH, as far as safety is concerned (at least for the 2020 Vios). Should have retained the 7 airbags across all variants.

I just remembered the first pages of this thread where there was a discussion about the number of airbags the Vios has.

Fast forward to 2020 - (I think) more than half of the Vios variants only have 3 airbags.

And I've been hearing rumors that as per Toyota's local survey, PH car buyers prefer an upgraded head unit that the 7 airbags.

    ^I agree with this.

If operators can get 5k off per car without the airbags, they'll take that 5k off.

After seeing the prices, this Vios totally change Toyota's image. I hope they continue with this trend on saftey on their upcoming models.

Nice one Toyota! Busy monthly sales coming

Not sure yet... Mga next year pa ako nandyan so by the time I can confirm this with friends in the taxi business... 2019 Vios na

But like what sirkosero mentioned. If they can't have it removed, they'll have it disabled.

Palagay ko di nila gagawin yun boss. Mawawala 5-star NCAP rating nila for Vios models in the ASEAN region.

sabi ni niky dun sa review nya sa multlevel parking lot, mas mahaba saka mas malapad daw to sa outgoing, so I dont know if that will improve the FC as niky claims to be. eh unang-una sa parking lot din lang sya nag-test drive lol

    2018 vios..

Wheelbase is the same since it's just a facelift.

So it's not wider nor longer.

Longer pwede pa, longer bumpers?? meh.
