    The process has to be done properly.
    The master cylinder might have to be replaced or, the residual pressure check valve has to be removed from the master cylinder to prevent the rear brakes dragging. Since Toyota brakes is front/rear split, the LSPV (load sensing and proportioning valve might have to be removed. Whatever it is, the kit must have been gingered for the particular vehicle. Do it properly, your unFortuner is not a jeepney.

    Same parking brake lever, same upper parking brake cable, same equalizer bar. Lower park brake cables are different. The rear calipers may be integrated (service brakes and parking brakes using the same friction pads) or disc service and drum parking brakes( like the Corvette's and supras)
