Its almost like a VIOS hatch... Expect it to be priced accordingly...

Right now, the cheapest 1.3 Vios E manual and matic around 730k and 760k...and since its doubtful the Yaris will be offered in the J variant, its safe to say that the more upscale and more kitted Yaris to be priced more ..

    I'm thinking 775 for the Manual 1.3 Yaris ....
850k for the 1.3 Matic Yaris (i'm guessing a CVT version like the new altis)

So I doubt its a Mirage GLS killer, rather a niche model for Vios owners who want more, but wont spend Altis money.

If history repeats itself, then the Yaris might be (historically speaking) cheaper than the Vios.

The current Yaris (latest facelift with Yaris TS rear bumpers) is being sold for 731K MT and 771K AT and that's 1.5L already. The gen2 Vios which is the real counterpart of the current Yaris is about 40-50K more expensive (gen 2.5 1.5G AT pegs at 820k before it was phased out).

So, if the current 1.3E at 727k and 767k for MT and AT, respectively and Toyota would again sell the next gen Yaris at a much lower price than the Vios. It could mean somewhere at sub 700K mark (680K ??) for the manual version to somewhere below 750K for the matic.

Ang hirap mag decide ngayon kung anong bibilhin na car, ang daming choices, nung una na approve na ako ng loan sa Jazz, then Vios, ngayon parang gusto ko muna hintayin pag labas nito bago mag decide.

It seems that it will be cheaper than the Vios indeed.
