Not only Victory... but other buses have followed suit in having a daytime running lamp while traversing the NLEX.

Victory Liners is one of the cleanest provincial buses.

They still pick up passengers along the way.

Kudos to them also. Nasanay na din ako ng ganito. Paglabas ng village gate, on na ng headlamps irregardless of time/weather condition/etc.

Now, I either ride Baliwag or Florida Transits.

They're not perfect but as far as good bus liners come into mind Victory Liner does stand out. Their buses are clean when you see it on the road and that (cleanliness) speaks a lot on service.

Also saw buses from other companies running with their lights on.

Its good to note na kahit papano unti-unti nang nababago mga driving habits nating mga Pinoy...pansin ko din yan when I used the NLEX last week

Huh?? I can assure you na kahit gaano kalakas yung headlights ng kasalubong mo sa daytime, there are A LOT more things on the road brighter than that. Remember that for our eyes, brightness isn't absolute....we perceive things to be bright relative to the environment around it.

Hindi sila dapat maging nakakasilaw unless full high beam, misaligned or HID iyan. The optics of the headlamp ensure this.

And dahil nga maliwanag, mas constricted ang pupils ng mga mata natin lessening the chance of our eyes being 'overwhelmed' when we come across a vehicle with it's lights on. Sa gabi kasi dilated ang pupils kaya kapag nakakita tayo ng maliwanag na bagay mas madali tayo masilaw before makapagconstrict ang pupils to adapt.

Volvos have DRL's that are easy to enable even in non-DRL countries. DRL's have been statistically proven to work.

DRL's are also required in Canada. And since Canada and U.S. share the same basic cars, standard equipment na din ang DRL's even on vehicles that are to be sold in the U.S.

If you are experiencing excessive glare from low beam DRL's, I suggest you consult with an ophthalmologist kahit routine check lang ng adaptability ng eyes mo which is different from visual acuity [the ability to read print, etc.]

Even in an urban setting, DRL's should not pose any glare problems.

    M2,
Terminal to terminal sila naka-DRL. Kasama na city driving doon.

headlamps are designed to illuminate not to stare at. we have no choice
but to ignore those incoming heads being on. better to concentrate on
the road ahead. it'll save your eyesight aside from lives and properties.
