San Miguel bullet train project

San Miguel I think is busy with its involvement in the MRT 7 project. But mentioned its interest to provide bullet train service using PNR tracks.

The PNR at this moment is rehabilitating its tracks. and the new tracks are going to be a two track system using standard gauge. Which means it can accommodate high speed trains and perhaps revive the freight trains.

High speed trains require high quality tracks. The old PNR train tracks will not be up to the job without major work done, probably ripping up the old tracks and laying down new high speed quality tracks.
